Thanks so much for these photos. I may get adventurous and try to do something like this myself. Is there a good way to learn how to remove the door panel itself to get to the insides? I've never done it. Thank you!

I swear I’m a glutton for punishment and for some unknown reason I actually like messing with exhaust systems...I love experimenting. Now that I have everything exactly how it should be and sounding great...I ordered a pair of Vibrant 1136 mufflers to try out back. I just gotta know what they sound like. lol

I already have more black tips and mandrel bends so I’ll just cut the Magnaflows off at the weld and fab these in from there. If they suck I can reverse it with 1 cut and weld.

Curious to hear what you think. Those are the Vibrant rear mufflers we have along with some Magnaflow as well for 2 options. The MF are smaller.

Stinger Roadkill Expert. There’s 2 bulk packs in all 4 doors, rear floor and hatch. I’ll have at least 1 more in it before it’s done.

It’s pretty easy. 4 screws on the front doors and 5 on the rear. Then the panels just pop off. The inner structure is a little more involved because you have to release the window glass to remove them but still not hard.

Thanks. First thing I'll try is to at least remove the panels to at least see if I can find and fix the existing rattle at volume. Also good to know what the "road kill" kit is to do more. Thanks to you and all that share the details of the fun you're having modifying these vehicles!

I don't remember seeing an answer to this... What is "DC Customs escort"?
DC Customs it a friend of mines shop that does custom lights and other stuff. Escort is the brand of my radar detector.

Nothing wrong with wanting straight tips. I fought that fight many times.....especially on Corvettes.

Nothing wrong with being anal about stuff. Your current car and the pictures of your previous builds show the value in that. My problem with being anal is that it sometimes takes patience!! Lol. I'm venturing into Operation Sound Deadening pretty soon. Can you point me to where I can find info on taking off the door panels? Or is this a trial and error thing?

Super easy. Two 7mm screws at the bottom of the panel, one 7mm screw behind the trim the pops off behind the door handle and one 10mm screw under the trim with the switches (two of those on the back doors) then just pull hard and it pops off. Release all the plugs, the door handle cable and lock cable and you’re home free.

Swapped the mufflers out...100% lateral move from the Magnaflows. No change in tone or volume I can discern and still shows a peak in cabin of 187hz. Looks like I’ll be building another set of resonators and leaving it alone now.
If anyone was looking to build a system though I’d recommend the Vibrants based on length alone...being 3” shorter than the Magnaflows makes packaging a lot easier.
