Hey All,

Been stalking you all for the past 6 months waiting for my lease on my 2018 F-150 Limited to end. Stopped in to my Ford dealership this afternoon and worked out a deal on a Black 2021 ST with Technology and Street Packages. Going by tomorrow to sign the paperwork and take delivery. Looking forward to getting back into an Explorer. Had a 2013 Explorer Sport and really enjoyed it.

Going to miss the utility of having a pickup and the F150 Limited is as fine of a truck there is but looking forward to getting back into something a bit more nimble and fast! I have an 18' flats boat that I will be towing with it as well.

I am in the West Palm Beach area. I purchased the vehicle from Wayne Akers in Lake Worth. I have had very good luck with them!

I tried to buy my car there from the sales manager. They were $3,200 higher than Al Packer Ford 10 minutes up the road.

I did my F150 deal with them as they had the exact car I wanted. Unfortunately, it was not a good experience for me. Their service center and Quick Lube are on point though.

Done deal! Got paperwork and delivery done in about 90 minutes today. Really enjoyed putting a few miles on it this afternoon.

Wishing miles of smiles. Very Nice. Black is tough to keep in south Florida.

Lets compare numbers so others get the best deal. Here are my numbers from 6 weeks ago.

Sticker $58380, 2021 White, Paid $ 52798.77 OTD, No trade, 20000 cash and balance @ 0.9% for 4 years.
Daily driver but pampered and we keep in temperature controlled garage. ~670 / month direct withdrawal.

How'd you get so far below invoice and even X-plan pricing?

I stopped in for a 2020 he had on Cars. com. It was silver and had 20s on it. Too boring, So I passed. He kept pursuing me via texts and phone calls so I knew the ball was in my court. I went as far as Tampa ( I also have a house in Lakeland, Florida) to another dealer that had 24, 2020s on Cars.com. He was discounting 10,800 off sticker on all of them. He had 7 white 2020s loaded at the time. That dealer tried to get me on Financing @ 5.9% even though I sent him all three credit bureaus ( 827, 835, 825). He stood fast so I walked again. I took the Cars.com ad to AP and spoke to the Sales and GM and presented my offer for a 2021 that he had in the front of the Store. It was a Thursday 5 minutes before closing and 1 week before Xmas. They accepted my offer after trying to add a couple of grand and crying the blues because I had all my ducks in a row and was ready to walk again. I picked up a white loaded ST at 10 am the next morning. The "F and I" guy tried to bump the Finance Rate to 4.9% and add B.S. like extended warranty (I purchased a 6/60000 with 50 deductible for $720.00 using my summer home address in New York from Flood Ford over the internet in 10 minutes, AP wanted 2K for the same warranty) and Ceramic Coating for a 1000 dollars (another B.S money maker for the Dealer) . I set him straight and told him to put the numbers where I tell you or I will walk. He "cried and tried" but I was not budging. I got the car I wanted at the price I wanted to pay.
Moral of the story... Be ready to walk. Never show you emotions. I even bring my own copies of drivers license and Registration and just walk out and let the keep the copies. I do not let even finish spewing their BS sales pitch. I just leave. I have zero tolerance for insubordination. Know this to be true...: Dealerships are not your friend... They are douchebags and prey on the less savvy buyer. Keep trying and you will find your deal if you hit the right dealer at the right time. I always do. I purchased two Mopars. 10K off My Challenger Hellcat and 9K off My Trackhawk. 1.9% on both two and three years ago. These cars were very hot, sought after and commanded 10K over (not in my world) sticker. There is always another deal and another Dealer.
