I agree with the road noise. I just crank the radio.
I am happy with the handling and stiffer ride. The seats are very comfortable to me. The last auto I had that road like a cloud was my fathers 1976 Bicentennial Eldorado Biarritz Convertible. The ST rides as expected, no surprises on that front. Still a good value for the performance you get. For those who are not happy, there is always CarMax.

After 3 months of ownership I`m not impressed.
The ride is mediocre, interior noise is to loud and
build quality is below a $50+ vehicle. Had a
Lariat 150 in 2011, much better all round.
Did you not research or test drive the SUV before purchase?
$55,000 is quite a bit of coin to drop an a vehicle and purchase without performing due diligence.
Every review that I watched complained about the cabin noise. I am OK with it. I just turn up XM Studio 54 radio.
I do not recall any reviewer complaining about the ride. It is tuned for handling and handles as expected for a big girl with a big ass. LOL
Build quality? Go over to Tesla forums and then return here with a refreshed attitude on that one.

You will take a hit but life is too short to be with an ugly woman and drive a car you hate. There is always CarMax.

What surprises me, why come to a forum where almost everyone loves the ST, and complain? What were you hoping the results would be? I'm shocked more people haven't had negative things to say about your post. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but do you think posting that here was the best thing to do? Does your negative post help in any way?
Seen as how this is MY thread, Your the one that`s out of bounds !
All comments are wellcome and if you don`t like that go over to the CommieCrat web sites !

I'm not sure how to take the comments here. For under ~$60k MSRP completely loaded, the ST seems like a decent deal to me. I ordered one (due later this month) after comparing the ST to pretty much EVERYTHING remotely similar. The X5M, SQ7, Cayenne Turbo all outperform the ST and are a LOT nicer to drive, but with $100-160k+ price tags (once you add any options). Middle of the road versions of these luxury vehicles (X5, Q7, Cayenne, GLE450 or AMG 43) all run $75k+ and don't outperform the ST. The only luxury car close to the ST's price/performance is perhaps the 375hp Genesis GV80, which will still likely run $10k more. The ST is also less expensive than the mainstream brand monster Mopar vehicles ... Durango Hellcat (which you can't get anyway), Track Hawk or even the SRT versions of those two SUVs (which yes, all outperform the ST, but also all cost more and frankly are on the brutal side, very thirsty, and offer no more in terms of build quality).

Less expensive mainstream 3rd row SUVs are certainly out there ... the Highlander, Telluride/Palisade, Ascent, Traverse, or Explorer XLT run typically $10k+ less in well appointed configurations and, in all cases feel like they have similar or superior build quality. But, they are also uninspired to drive and at best lag the ST's power by 100hp.

So IMHO, and after test driving almost all of the above, you get what you pay for. If you're not happy with your ST, qualify your comments with what you might have done differently and why perhaps? I can say, the ST doesn't handle or perform anything like my Porsche 911, but I feel that's like comparing apples to oranges ... a 3rd row SUV is not a pickup truck for example.

Well said and I feel the same. I have always had sports cars and the only SUV I owned was a '94 Typhoon. I decided I was tired of sports cars in world where every vehicle towered over me. I also decided it was time to have a bit more room for the kids and grandkids. Like you, I researched nearly everything that was even pseudo performance. Macan, X5, Cayenne, Jaguar, RDX. I have owned over 60 vehicles in my lifetime and this is my first Ford so I'm not a fanboy by any means. But, a year later I haven't had a single problem. I understand some people have problems with their vehicles, but to complain about things that are endemic to a high performance vehicle and should have been caught on a test drive makes me scratch my head!

I had a Typhoon and Syclone also. Did you have the infamous 55 Mph vibration? I always preferred the look of the Syclone over the Typhoon but both were epic.

No, I don't remember any vibration...unless you took a fast corner on an uneven or bumpy road. Then those solid axles all wanted to go in different directions! Fast in a straight line though. However, to keep the thread on track, the Typhoon was approx $34k in '93. Using an inflation calculator at 1.78, it would cost about $60k in today's dollars. Considering everything, there's no way the ST is overpriced for its intended market.

Both of mine, it was documented at the time in the clubs I was a part of, had a midline/centerline vibration @ 55 or so. No solution was found and GM never determined the cause. The GN Buicks and these were icons. It was when GM actual cared. The SS models that followed were nothing but badges and ground effects. Why did they lose their way GM? "They could have been a contender!" lol

Apparently mr "this my thread" is rather thin skinned and can not stand being called out for bitching about how his Performance SUV rides and is loud, turn up the radio or drive it like a grandmother if it makes too much noise. UNBROKEN just stated the obvious and you thought that mean. Then you get indignant and attempt a very lame insult towards UNBROKEN followed by what appears to insinuate that Floxx is likened to a "CommieCrat" and should go to "those" web sites. He also preface with " All comments are wellcome" while not welcoming comments that are very succinct and to the point. You doth protest too much! Just a note to algoatx check your spelling before you hit post.

Outstanding post man.
Studio 54 is the best!!
Yes, she handles quite well for a big girl. Can't expect M3 or Miata agility with 3 rows.

I don't care about people complaining, but when you complain about stuff that you should have realized when taking the test drive, who's fault is it that signed to buy the car after that? Ride is medicore, interior is too loud, build quality sucks.... most of these stuff you can notice when test driving yet you bought the car anyways.

You are welcome (spelled correctly) Floxx. I just can not stand whiney individuals that won't admit they caused their own grief.
