Hey folks, I'm putting together parts for a 3" system, but having trouble deciding between...

Magnaflow 12599 (slightly larger)
Magnaflow 12469

And vibrant 1142

I don't want a loud obnoxious exhaust, but I still want to be able to hear it.

Would you guys recommend just the 12599?

Or 12469 and 2 vibrant resonators?

I would touch base with unbroken and Kruppa. Those are the only two guys I know of on here with custom 3” exhaust.

Go with the 12599. It’s the only true internal X. The 12469 is an elongated internal double Y so it has a long piece of single 3” inside.
Run a pair of Vibrant 1794’s off the downpipes into the 12599 then pick a pair of rear mufflers or it’s gonna still be loud. The 1094’s will work if you want it a little louder. I run a pair of Vibrant 1136’s for rear mufflers. Be aware...it’s going to drone...bad. Plan to build a pair of Helmholtz chambers to tame that down also.

This is with the above combo. All I hear at 80mph is tire noise. Zero drone.

I wonder if the larger 1142's would let me get away without adding rear mufflers
