How does everyone wash and dry the roof?

I have a small step stool but it's unsafe wobbling on the driveway when I'm cleaning and drying the roof. Gotta figure an easier way that's faster, hows everyone doing it?

harbor freight has a small platform step stool. really sturdy and light weight, under $20 with coupon.

If I didn't have the sunroof I probably wouldn't go crazy with it every time, but there is no chance I could deal with looking at water spots and dirt on it.

Using a blower can at least knock a good amount of the water off if you don't want to brave the step stool.

I "air drive" mine. Great car wash in neighboring small town 14 miles from the house which is well maintained, has excellent pressure, soap and ocassionally even hot water plus a no spot rinse. It takes a credit card and it is a "wand" wash-it-yourself carwash. I air drive home at 75 mph and then only have to wipe the tail end of the ST with a microfiber towel after spraying the tail end down with water from a spray bottle. I apply MeGuires Ceramic Liquid Wax when I first purchase the ST. My previous ST had 12,000 miles when I traded it in and the original Ceramic Wax application was still beading up like new. The MeGuires Ceramic Liquid Wax also helps keep the black plastic mouldings on the ST looking like new also. If I get a bug or two on the way home its an easy clean up. This method is super easy and limits any repeated contact with the clear coat to the rear door and bumper area. The hotter it is outside the better the air drive works. We rarely get snow in Wichita so this is good year round. You do have a few more spots to wipe in the winter as the water doesn't evaporate as quickly. I prefer this method versus having to hang around a car wash and try to quickly wipe down the entire vehicle meanwhile trucks are driving by stirring up dust, etc. I also prefer to limit my exposure at the car wash as you never know whos hanging around or can show up while your bent over wiping a wheel,

Battery powered leaf blower, works just fine for me. Also it really helps with drying the wheels and wheel wells.

How do I wash it? I reach over and just wash it. Being 6’7” and lowered makes it easy. lol

I have a small ladder that I used with my F150 to reach the high places because, unlike 6'7" Unbroken, I'm 5'9" and struggle to reach the middle of the windshield.

I think standing on the door sill and holding the roof rail with one hand is the safest. Just wash the roof with the hose and be sure to dry it with a chamois or microfiber towel, using some wax and dry spray from time to time.

I’m 6’3” as is my daughter. My son is 6’5” My daughter can literally reach 6 inches higher than I can and 4 inches above my son. She still leads the state in blocked shots and played ball at BYU. I love it when she helps me wash a car.

Two-step folding plastic step ladder. Just right for me (6'3") to reach just past the center line of the roof.
