Nav TV Zen A2B interface
Helix DSP.3 w/Director
Mosconi Pro 1/10, 2/10 and 4/10 amps
Illusion Audio Carbon C12XL sub
Focal ES 165KX3 front stage
Stinger 8000 RCA’s
Stinger X Toslink cable
All power and speaker wire is Stinger HPM

As soon as I locate some 3/4” 13 ply Baltic Birch plywood I’ll start the spare tire well enclosure and false floor. The amp rack will be welded up to float the amps over the sub.

Nice gear. Can't waot to see the end results. Those 2-3 inch mids are you putting those in the stock location in the front doors or are you building some custom "a" pillars?

Everything is going in the stock locations to start. I wanna see how good I can get it like that before I do pillars.

Almost all the install supplies are in…just waiting on a few small things now. Picking up the 13 ply Baltic Birch for the enclosure and trim panels tomorrow. Hoping to have the sub floor and enclosure fabbed this weekend along with the floating amp rack welded up 2B54571C-4930-44A4-A92C-6D6994D02785.jpeg

Hard to find right now…1/2” 10 ply Baltic Birch for the trim panels and 13 ply 3/4” Baltic Birch for the subfloor and enclosure. No corners cut on this install and no MDF anywhere. 4E2C3400-62AD-41B1-B999-D4ABC6E2AC39.jpeg

It’ll take me at least a month just to get this done…I don’t think you’d like my turnaround time. lol

Luckily I got my last sub box built before Birch went crazy lol.
Oh...what were you going to do for the rear doors?

I don’t run rear fill. The goal is a wide, deep front stage so that’s where the money is going. I know I can accomplish that using oem locations but the stage height is the question mark right now. If I can’t get the height I want I already bought a pair of a-pillars to move the mid/tweeter up higher. I really don’t wanna do that though…I’d rather keep it stealthy.

since you obviously have the hardware to do rear fill correctly and have the potential to push the stage even wider without ruining the stereo illusion on a cabin size such as ours, why not? just extra work for not enough gain? no backseat passengers, so you don't care?

I’ve never ran rear fill in a SQ competition vehicle…100% not needed and just adds tuning issues. I went undefeated in MECA Street class in 2013/14 so I’m building off what I learned back then. I had a very similar system then too.

Never thought of it..... but since I haven't entered an actual sound off in 20+years lol.... since there's no CD player so they give you a thumb drive to play a certain track?

You get a track list and load them on your preferred device.

Total overkill but I like overkill…Stinger HPM 12 gauge for the front stage and HPM 8 gauge for the sub. 2AE04053-DEEB-447F-B531-437EE0091881.jpeg BCCD88F3-5EE7-4867-84B5-D62366C4CD52.jpeg
