And there lies the really annoying part. They jump your dates all over the map with zero communication about what is going on. My dealer told me 4-6 months when I ordered so I am way ahead of that schedule. Then again there are people that ordered the same options well before me with nothing.

I can't imaging what the auto industry is like now with all the shortages. It must be crazy scheduling so I get that. But knowing this was happening IMO they should have put a better mechanism in place to communicate to the customer. It's one thing if they are reaching out to you with information if/when they shuffle dates but the silence is deafening and definitely quite frustrating for some of you.

Hope you all get good news in the coming weeks!

I suspect the inconsistency is dependent on when the necessary parts arrived.

If Ford was shipping incomplete cars off-site and then parts arrived, money-wise, it makes more sense to complete the cars that are still on-site and ship them to the dealers rather than spend the money to ship them off-site and back again later.

Hopefully this is an indication parts are now available and they'll start completing the cars they sent off-site.

That's what I was reading about the other day. They are using the third shift/repair and parts section work on car that are sitting waiting for parts 24/7 to get them out to customers. According to Mike on FB who works at the plant, there was 15k vehicles sitting waiting for parts to be shipped to the customers. I am hoping with people now seemingly moving along we can all potentially see better movement/updates but god knows with supply chains and shipping. The industry I work for has minimally 3 months lead time or more on material to get jobs done.

Holy smokes!! I don’t feel as bad now about my order situation.
That’s Nuts! What has your dealer said? Maybe try posting on a Ford social media site, might shame them into helping

He posts in the Explorer ST owners pages quite a bit as he drives one. He works in quality at CAP I believe so can’t help with scheduling. That super sucks you’ve been hanging out there for that long!

There must be some illogical formula ford uses for production order. I placed my order on 12/14 and have only received a confirmation. No build date yet, while others who ordered after that are reporting having theirs delivered. Seems like packages, priority codes, and everything else have little to do with order since I’ve seen a little bit of everything on here.
Did they just lose all the orders that day ? lol ordered the same day same boat as you.

I gave up hope.. If it would have not been for 2 phone calls happening in the order they did last Friday. I would have a Grand Cherokee or maybe Drango ( the lots are full of them here and under sticker price can be found) in my driveway at this exact moment and not a 21 ST. And all I have ever owned was ford's and know managers and services managers at Ford dealerships.

I was fucking over it !

Arrived Monday. Only 4 days behind original schedule. Went in today for an inspection. A bit disappointed with the lack of quality control. The roof is full of dust and left over seam sealer that is painted over. Lots of dirt in the paint. Overall gaps seem decent and everything works so far that I tested. The manager is a good friend so he said everything will be taken care of by Sunday when I pick it up. I'll post better shots once its fully detailed and ready for delivery

Don't let the dealership detail it

Sweet! Gonna reach out to my dealer and see if they have any more details. Not sure if this means it hasn’t actually been started or If it’s on hold.

This is what mine looks like. From my dealers knowledge it was being produced and got stalled with shut downs and now it just updated the other day. I had a priority code 10 and my dealer said he didn’t have a whole lot of orders aince I was the first of the month and they hadnt met their allocation may have helped. I would def reach out to see if they can give you more to the status. Mine sat as in production-sent to plant for awhile and suddenly changed. My delivery updated from 3/16 to 3/11 yesterday so it may have started to move but not sure.

Still in Production for me with an estimated date of 5/7.

My build hasn't changed since the adding of 3-Months. It's been off and on with the tracker working (this is quite normal with the Ford tracker). Looks like your white ST will be going up and down the Fox River before mine!
