What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Discovered it's as stable at 130mph as it is at 65mph... Would have been a bit faster, but I was coming up behind a Honda Fit that looked like it was parked & oncoming traffic didn't give me the space/timing to blow his doors off with a pass without slowing down. It was still accelerating when I backed out of it & I didn't even have the pedal to the floor.

The wind noise is horrific at those speeds! It sounds like the roof is gonna fly off it. Sitting in the car wash too when it's going through the dryer there's a draft coming through. I guess I got used to the super quiet Lincolns I owned before this ST. I will admit though that after driving a loaner Ecosport for 11 days, the Explorer ST was so quiet and solid in comparison. It's all what you're used to.

Investigated the fuel funnel issue. There's something just inside the flap doodad that prevents a trans funnel going in... but whatever it is doesn't restrict the gun at the gas station... Odd, they're about the same diameter, but a plastic trans funnel only goes in about an inch. Poked it with a finger, it didn't move.. but apparently does when you gas up? WTF? I have a trans funnel that is shortened to about an inch below the collar & that fits just fine (but doesn't open the blocking plate doodad). I need to investigate further
I guess the blocking doodad is to stop someone sticking a hose in there to syphon your gas.
Edit: I have a Preciva flashlight that has a magnet on the end. That will go in & the blocking flap opens with that.... The plot thickens...

Over the last three days I completed my amp/sub install, installed my new color-matched rear emblem, removed the "EXPLORER" emblem off the front and installed my Mishimoto catch can. I'm now sitting on my couch, patiently waiting for my ZFG RTD delivery, which should be here any moment. I'm waiting on a new driver's side fog light housing, which was broken when I bought the Explorer. Once I receive that, I'll install the front emblem. Probably going to install my Bora spacers (1"/1.25") this weekend.
I also ordered a custom wedding ring made of hammered Tantalum that is supposed to be delivered today as well. (I'm a Quality Engineer in Aerospace and we use a lot of Tantalum so I thought that was a cool material to have a ring made from). Getting married in May. I'm much more excited for my ZFG tune. Ha ha.
EDIT: Downloaded stock tune and sent to ZFG and installed the ST brake and gas pedal covers. Hope ZFG gets back to me soon! Supposed to start snowing around noon tomorrow and I'd like to get the initial data logs sent to him.
