I just bought my explorer in January and am looking to have my exhaust changed by the end of this month I want something that really embraces the v6 sound and does not try to sound like a v8. Alfa Romeo after market exhausts do a great job of embracing the v6 with their high pitched sounds and aggressive shifts. I have really been looking at the MBRP catback pro system any suggestions???

2022 Explorer ST Exhaust??

There is much written on various systems and how they sound on this forum. There is no way you'll get as many valuable responses to this thread as is already written. Do a search and take a look at Borla, Thermal R&D, Gibson, Magnaflow, AFE, MBRP, and the list goes on. You'll find that the tastes (sound, price, type of metal) of those who own the different systems vary. People are looking for different things in their exhaust.

I prefer a little more mellow than not but I like all types. Having said that, I agree there really isn't anybody focusing on good sound out of a V6. While I much prefer the sound of a V8 or more there are some killer sounding V6's out there.
On a side note, I fired up my explorer with the exhaust removed from the DP's back. Under idle it actually sounded cool....then I stepped on it for a second and said "no thank you"
