So weird situation I technically bought a new 2022 ST it was sold as new it had roughly 200 miles on it when I bought it because the dealership owners wife was driving it around. Anyway I got it last Thursday Friday afternoon I noticed both passenger side wheels were damaged. Check the original pics the dealer sent me and sure enough they were damaged in those pics as well. Called the dealership and they said they would fix it for free just had to drop it off. Anyway I got 2 keys, on the day I bought it both have an ST logo on the back. Picked the car back up today after dropping it off with only 1 key, and they gave me 2 keys when they returned it. One with an ST logo and one with a ford logo…. So now in total I have 3 keys. Did anyone else end up with 3 keys or was this just a slip up by the dealership? Not that I’m complaining they got my wheels looking brand new and I ended up with what I assume is an extra key?

Yeah that is weird. You should only have two keys. Does the one with the ford logo work?

Sure does locks/unlocks/remote start, and drove it about 10 miles with only the ford key on me to make sure it totally worked for the vehicle by itself. Even pulled the emergency key out and checked vs my ST one they are the same cut… so not only is it programmed but it’s cut too so I’m thinking maybe they made a new key for it because they misplaced mine for a portion of the day? Who knows lol

Well that’s nice. Just keep that guy as an extra spare. Handy to have.

Perhaps the owner's wife wanted the smaller fob and they just programmed one for her. The real question here is does the hard key on the inside of the fob match your locks?

I purposely have three keys. One "ST" and two "Ford". My wife has one, I have one and the third is in the safe. Count your blessings if all three work for no extra $$. My third key was about $280. I did have the dealer take the third key from the Limited and program it for the ST.
