Try a damp Ivory soap bar applied with a damp microfiber towel. That is for super light cleaning.
If you want to eliminate the glossy, shiny leftover oils from your hands and whatnot, then ColourLock cleaner and a leather brush will tidy that up. Follow it up with a protectant (your choice, I use ColourLock as well).
A multipurpose/combo type product won't actually clean much or protect much, it does both rather poorly. However, if that is what you want for convenience or what you like, then find a brand and roll with it. I've used Chemical Guys leather interior combo for years as a quick touch up (carry in the car) bottle and it did fine until I was able to take the time and clean it properly, then protect it.
You can't really screw it up unless you use super harsh and aggressive chemicals. Start light (water, soap, cleaner) and see what the results are, then protect it up and enjoy!
