There’s nothing in the manual and the dealer had no idea. Then again, the salesman didn’t know the exhaust pipes vent out the bottom of the pipes.
My guess it’s to turn the cellular WiFi on and off.

It turns off the backup assist, used to disable the system when you have a bike rack or something in the hitch so it doesn't think there is something right behind the sensors and lock your brakes up

Know I can turn off the backup assist is awesome!!! My garage is tight fit. A couple of time when I was backing out … the ST backup sensors would hit the breaks … with a solid jolt. Scared the crap out of me as well as my wife. I tried turning off the backup assist, but it’s back on when the car starts up again.
This is gonna be my new favorite button.

Same exact thing happen to us, we thought we hit the car behind us when the brakes were automatically applied during my first attempt at parallel parking in the ST lol.

I thought it was something to do with parking assist.....

Ahhh. That makes sense. I have felt that jolt before and wondered why it did that. Thanks!

Also good to turn off parking sensors when going through a car wash. ;-)
