So I'm planning to purchase some aftermarket wheels for my ST and came accross the VS Forged line. They have some classic designs that are very common along with some not so common ones. Just playing around I photoshopped a few onto my car to see how they look..

Picking out the right wheel is such a tough decision! The other candiates are the VS08, VS12 and maybe VS16.

I got the VS19 photoshop done yesteray and I think these are the ones I'm going with. Working on the offset decision now and if I am going to go this color or black. I kind of want to try something other than black and it would be easy to re-finish them later if I don't like the look.

I fond a few Jeep trackhawks with these wheels and I think they suit a larger SUV well IMO.

I have my local performance shop doing the offset calculation now with a 40 series tire. I should know later today when I pick the car up from getting lowered/exhaust.

22x10.5 and either a 32 or 35 offset I'm guessing. Want to run 305/40/22 tires.

You’re gonna want +35 with that tire. Why are you going a full inch taller than stock? That’s going to kill power in a noticeable way.

I don't know why anyone goes taller for any reason .

To me , it defeats the purpose of lowering .

You’re gonna want +35 with that tire. Why are you going a full inch taller than stock? That’s going to kill power in a noticeable way.
Mostly just because of the slim pickings for tire choices not to mention the tire cost is double going from a 40 to a 35 series. You pretty much have either the Pirelli Scoprio or Michellin's in a decent tire and that's it. I'm not 100% going that route but I hate having so few options for replacement tires.

I went with the Nexen built Lexani LX-Twenty in 305/35/22. Dead smooth to 135. 2 wheels took .75oz of weight, 1 took 1oz and 1 took 1.25oz.
ordered them off eBay for $563.88 shipped for 4.

Along with the fact of not understanding anyone going to a taller tire with lowering , I also do not understand why people choose to go with some high dollar tire from a name brand company . Almost every company out there had some knock off brand that they make . I could understand if you are building a race car but we are not anywhere near race car status .

Not to mention that even with +35 offset they will likely rub the fender liners at full lock. +40 would clear the fender liners but likely contact the strut. Anything between +35 - +30 will definitely rub the liner with a 305/40

Other than being a little loud on old asphalt highways I haven’t found anything to complain about. I’ve used the Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico on all of my sport trucks for years...I absolutely love those tires. They will go on here next but I’m gonna wear these out first I think. I bought the Lexani’s without a lot of confidence in them but I’m honestly very surprised with them.

There is a guy with them on his TrackHawk and he did a Youtube review on them. He said basically the same thing and likes them as well.

Your performance will be better considering the are fully forged wheels they probably weigh 8-10 lbs lighter than stock !
