Details…

The Aviator has chrome trim and the ST has matte chrome trim…so I had to make it matte.

I need to get a 1000 grit sanding pad to get the little scratches out but hopefully one day this Aviator console will be complete. Last part off-backorder date is moved to 11/30 so we’ll see. I also made a little ABS blank to fit in where the Aviators sunroof shade switch would be because I have zero use for that switch. And Lawrence at Boosted Grey Goose Designs is gonna whip up a pnp harness for the cup holder ambient lighting to tap into the front center console. 3EC6F0C5-596B-4EF4-B8A3-690ADCC78D45.jpeg

While I’m working on brushed finishes I started on the FenFab coolant tank also.

Got the big ass 1.5” AFe front swaybar finally. It’ll be fun dialing it in with the rear bar when I get around to installing it. 696F1C09-E32B-498F-97CE-293DC3BBFE9B.jpeg

That looks pretty beefy! Are you going to continue with the H-R springs with that front bar?

For sure. To date I haven’t seen any other static springs that sit lower than what I currently have. I sure would love some quality adjustable struts and shocks though.

Finally knocked out the audio so it’s on to the pile of other stuff. Dropped in the FenFab coolant tank today. I need to go hunt down a small 90° hose for the vent line and do a brushed finish on the billet cap I found…but it’s almost complete. Did you ever get around to installing the splitter rods?
They just didn’t fit right so I skipped it. If the splitter protruded one more inch they would have been perfect.

Did you ever get to install those SRT GC hood vents? I was thinking about that when I was in Big Bear; the snow on my hood melted in almost the same spots you were planning to put them. Vents there would've been perfect for turbo heat escaping.

I didn’t do that either. I left them on the hood and stared at it every time I walked into the garage for a week and I just never fell in love with them.

File this under crap that bugs me but maybe not you...but I fixed it anyway.
The oem plate light housings both face the same way. Probably not an issue with an incandescent bulb but if you swap in LED’s you wind up with the left light facing the plate and the right light facing nothing that needs to be lit up. If you wanna fix it, pop the housing out and look at the little indent where the snap locks it into place. Now take a razor knife and trim a heavy 1/8” off just above and below the indent. Flip the housing around and snap it back into place. Trim small amounts and don’t blame me if you fat finger it. lol

Knocking another thing that annoys me off my list. I hate the tall 2nd row headrests. I modified the middle seat headrests to work on the outside of several of my previous trucks including my 2015 F250 Platinum and my 2016 F150 Platinum. So I started digging and it looks like the middle seat headrest from the 2nd row bench may just be a drop in. The spacing is the same for the rods that slide into the seat but I’m not sure about the OD so some mods may be needed like the truck headrests did. Either way the tall ones are outta here. Pic for reference while I wait on the actual parts. CCAE890C-B946-4A0A-B317-9D2B3B8E68FA.jpeg

Modified F150 and 250 headrests I did.

After about a year of backordered parts the last piece is supposed to ship on 11/4 so I can FINALLY build my Aviator rear console. I’ve been dying to get this done but have been held up by the main compartment that everything builds off of. It’s not cheap…close to $2200 for the 19 individual parts plus clips, screws and bolts but to me it’s well worth it. View attachment 14657
Where did you source the floor bracket from? It's the only piece I'm missing and I'm being told it's on national backorder with no eta.

Everything was bought new from Ford. I waited a year on the main compartment. It’ll show up eventually.

I hate tall headrests on rear seats.…so I ordered up a pair of 2nd row middle seat headrests. Luckily these dropped right in. My last 2 trucks I had to rebuild the frames and the rods that go into the seat...I like the simple approach much better. 007A7E4E-F625-49E2-9413-9CC382B18C62.jpeg
