Folks, does anyone know what the bolt size is for the bolt that secures the rear exhaust hanger bracket to the frame? It’s the bracket that I have shown in this picture. By the way, does anyone know what that part number for the bracket is? Much appreciated. 7A900BE2-6C9C-462B-B7CB-79657B0DBA24.jpeg

I know the answer to this as I had one snap on me - the design has definitely been reinforced too, which is why I replaced the other side preventatively.

L1MZ-5K291-M
L1MZ-5K291-L

They are handed so make sure you pick the correct one.

Thanks 1 billion. It was easier for me to search for a needle in a haystack than to try to find these numbers.

I have an issue with my passenger side bracket. I have the thermal R & D 2.5" kit with fenfab downpipes. By part number, these aren't listed as the correct ones for 3.0TT and only fit the 2.3 EcoBoost. It sounds like they have worked or work on both engines. Thanks in advance.

Since this is the only post that I can find on google for this issue, I registered here just to add that L1MZ-5K291-M and L1MZ-5K291-L are the correct part numbers for the 3.0TT. Ford says they only fit the 2.3 and there is no brackets they sell for the 3.0TT, but it seems that for the 3.0TT these brackets are considered a subcomponent of the entire exhuast and not a seperate part even though they are identical.

Ford parts will tell you they won't fit and they can't help you but what Greywolf said is correct and those are the part numbers.

Thanks for the 10mm tip. I had the same issue, driver side. I noticed my passenger side one looks weak, but I didn’t replace it. Ordered the part from Ford Parts at my local dealer. ~$60 CAD taxes in.

I'm in the market for these brackets too. What the heck are these made out of, powdered metal? The stock ones are only 3.5 years old and I can literally crumple it with my fingers! How much more could they possibly cost to make out of aluminum? It won't corrode and would last years longer.
Yeah, I know, planned obsolescence ... so we can keep paying for it! (rolling eyes)

This info has helped immensely! Conversely, the number ending in "L" is the "right" one.
When I ordered it, I made the mistake of posting the VIN which in turn made the seller change the part number. I tried to explain but they were unresponsive and still wanted to send the wrong part so I cancelled and reordered elsewhere. Unfortunately, it was $20 more to get it right.

This was really great. I noticed last night that my driver's side exhaust was hanging down 1-2 inches too low, and I discovered that the bracket was broken. As others have said, the metal virtually crumbles in my hands. I called a couple of dealerships, and they told me that I would have to order the whole exhaust system for like $2000, and that my extended warranty doesn't cover exhaust. I was getting really mad, and I was directed to this page. I ordered the correct parts (I ordered left and right), and they were like $30 each. They will be here tomorrow, and it is super easy to do myself.

Just noticed my driver side exhaust was wobbly. Damn mold injected metal! I cut a 3” peice of galvanized band iron. Folded it in half and reused the 10mm bolt and threaded it back into place. I can’t tell the difference between that exhaust and the passenger side. Band iron would prob outlast the brackets, but I’ll order a pair anyway.
