Can anyone recommend a quality product that keeps the dull black exterior trim looking darker/wet like the tire?

Just applied the same to my ST yesterday and I agree it does a good job. Gives it a little bit of shine without making it look greasy.

F11 works great on all plastic as well. I've used it on my Raptor for many years and applied it to my ST as soon as I brought it home.

Another vote for Chemical Guys VRP. Stay away from Cerecoat! If you apply it perfectly in perfect conditions you may get lucky but one hick-up and your trim is ruined! Takes forever to get it off!

For the TLDW crowd, the winner was CeraKote.

I guess I got lucky with mine ,have been happy with it . I did do a good bit of prep before I applied it . Much like ceramic coating the paint , I strip washed and de iron, then prep wipe . so far it has held up well to a lot of washings over the last 6 months. The part I liked best was all the plastic trim now has the same finish . Could you explain what caused your “hick up” so I might avoid trouble in future applications? Thanks

Sure. I followed the directions to the letter and watched the video. Prepped the trim and applied the coating as directed. However, two days later, dew formed on the vehicle and everywhere it touched the trim it left white streaks! I made sure there was no rain in the forecast but who can predict for dew? The first day it was fine. It wasn’t until the third day after I applied it. I contacted them and they were really good about it and said it’s not the first time they had heard about it happening. They recommend keeping it in a garage until it cures but I don’t have one. Live and learn I guess.
