Weird thing happened with Auto Stop/Start Eliminator

So I took my Explorer in for the front half shaft speed sensor failure (4 WD Fault) and when I picked it back up, my Auto Stop Start eliminator wasn’t working. The button on the console works but it doesn’t remember the setting like it’s supposed to do. At next start up, it defaults to “on” as if the the Auto SS wasn’t even there. I know for a fact that it worked when I dropped it off. I’m always concerned that whenever I take the car in for warranty work that they mess with the BCM, ECM or ACM settings that I’ve changed with Forscan but the the Auto SS is a plug in module. I guess I’ll disconnect and reconnect it and see what happens. Anyone ever experience this?

Disconnect/reconnect is literally what they tell you to do in this scenario.

There was a post here awhile back, the dealer kept unplugging the AS elim when brought in for service.
