Steeda springs vs H&R springs

Can you get wheel hop on the stock rubber or is that only the people running DRs?
Easily on any tire if you have some power and launch hard enough.

I’m tuned and on E30…no wheel hop yet on the stock rubber but I haven’t tried brake boosting much past 2200 RPM or so. Mostly just leave off idle to protect that 3 bolt…lol

Also are you guys turning off the traction control for max acceleration launches?

Most times I just don’t mess with it….it’s a 3 second press and hold deal and it doesn’t feel like this unit spins much or at all off the line and I can’t feel t traction control kicking in and killing power but maybe it does.

Steeda is all-in on suspension stuff now…finally. There’s a few Steeda guys in my ST group on FB…they’re talking about a full Stop The Hop kit and some other stuff as well in addition to their current offerings.
This is 100% accurate! We have some great things in the pipeline - the rear diff brace has been great ... so that has propelled our R&D team to work OT on the Explorer platform :)

If anyone has suggestions - we are happy to listen & see if we can bring something to market that will be an improvement!

Just like I mentioned on FB…we need better shocks and struts. You guys work with Bilstein…maybe you have enough pull to lean on them for some B6’s or B8’s….especially some dialed in to work with drop coils.

A "Stop the Hop" kit it top on my wish list. I've reached out to y'all in the past and was not on your radar, but sounds like you are looking into it now.

We have spoken to them on several occasions - unfortunately, this isn't something that they are considering at this point ... but it's on their radar.

TJ you have been the best with customer service and Steeda parts are amazing. But even some KYB's would be better than the stock shocks, I can't even drive my ST right now because the right rear shock has leaked out and completely frozen up. Every bump thumps the rear end at only 16K miles. I won't let the local Ford dealers touch my ST anymore and the rear shocks are on back order, I have them coming from Steeda and PIU's from Levittown Ford. Whichever order arrives first will get installed and the others will stay in the garage for backups. I'm hoping the PIU shocks arrive first then someone makes some aftermarket shocks before I go through my third set.
P.S. I may be ordering the diff support next, thanks for your service!

We are looking at other solutions - the team is having internal conversations on how we can support. Stay tuned.

Anyone have a picture comparison of the installed difference/rake?
Seems like the Steeda might be more stiff than stock with some rake and the H&R are a tad softer with a more level look. My only concern is that we run with 4 adults and occasionally with 7 and don't want to be sagging and or bottoming out every where with the H&Rs.

I've replied to this question before. I researched the two as you are. I choose Steeda. Didn't want too low, and since I pull a boat, I liked the rake that levels out some when trailering. I've had them for 3 years and about 40K miles. Very satisfied. Occasionally load up the crew for a weekend in the mountains. With 5 adults and luggage for the trip, it handles the Blue Ridge Parkway surprisingly well. Steeda does everything I need them to do. More often it is only me in the car, and I love swooping on and off ramps. Car handles noticeably better than stock. Yes, a little stiffer, but I didn't buy the ST to feel like I was driving a Crown Vic. My .02

I have Steeda on now but the rear springs have begun to rust, plus I want to drop the rear a bit more.
The front Steeda springs for whatever reason are fine with no corrosion.
So I would like to just swap out the rear springs for H&R.
I should disclose that Steeda DID offer to replace the rear springs but if I'm going to do the labor I would just rather replace with H&R and then see if Steeda would do some sort of credit on future purchases.

Wow this isn't the first time hearing about corrosion with Steeda springs.
