Understand this is a public forum and everyone is entitled to express their own opinion. Also not judging who is right or wrong, but this whole back and forth happening here is pointless and not helping anyone.

It's just leaving a bad taste for whoever coming here looking for some honest feedback. I know that's what I'm feeling. Why not a crease fire and leave each other to their own point of views.

May be spend some time on this thread..

PS: I'm not expecting a reply and definitely don't want the guns pointed to my face after the post.
Don’t worry about this idiot. He’s been here doing idiot things since long before you joined. He thinks he knows everything but has proven time and again that he knows little to nothing. He “blocks” everyone that proves him wrong so he can live in his little uninformed bubble…although I really think he’s too narcissistic to block anyone. He craves knowing what’s being said.

Well this was a first for me today. Boosted launch around 2500, maybe even 2600rpm. Tires legit started spinning! Maybe some oil or something around the red light where I was stopped? This was with TC off. So maybe that’s why it happened as well so the car didn’t cut any power.

I've never seen anyone so dismissive about an SUV's warranty backed 13.1... supposed enthusiast for the win

So spending $800+ on a tune to run 1-2 MPH faster in the quarter mile is a win? lol

I mean its a plus for those wanting to retain the original warranty but not for those nearing or past it.

Lol most people running this don’t care about exact times. The tune feels noticeably quicker than stock. Aka more fun. That’s all that matters. Why is that so hard to understand? Out of the numerous reviews of this tune, between this forum and Fb, I’ve only come across one person who was unhappy and their impressions seemed kinda sketchy. Everyone has unanimously been very happy with it from what I have gathered.

My point is there are much better tunes for similar $$ that add more than power and improve the jerky tranny shifts

As I stated, its a plus for those retaining the original 36 month warranty, but for those wanting a faster vehicle outside of that warranty, IMO, its best spent elsewhere on a real tune that does more than just add power. I mean you buy a tune to make the vehicle faster. not just for brags lol

I don’t understand much of the beefing about the FP tune here.

I’m ZFG tuned. For my objectives it was the clear choice. However I think you clearly capture the big upside to the FP tune based on different objectives. We are all different, thank god, and it is always good to have more choices in life rather than less!

Oh yeah 100%. It’s all about the warranty. And honestly as someone who plans to keep their ST for a long time, I’m sure my Powertrain will appreciate the dialed back power relative to a beefier tune.

I went with FP for warranty and for a little extra fun. Win win. Imo.

But I still love watching the growth of aftermarket tunes. Love what Zfg is doing.

Exactly! We all know the FP is inferior in every way to any aftermarket besides the warranty part. But that’s okay. Just glad they all exist.

The only big issue with the ST's is the transmission, even in stock form. Having a tune making ton more power with a better transmission tune and shifts is better for the drivetrain vs slight power or stock with no transmission updates.

Not saying it will be an issue with the FR tune but havent read much about it other than its closer to the BRaptor's tranny tune.

The transmission “tune” in the Ford performance tune does nothing. That was established a long time ago. Best case you get whatever the current transmission strategy is and it does a KAM reset when you load it to so it resets all of the adaptives. That’s it. Nothing else is done. Anybody saying anything else or guessing at anything else is just not speaking facts.

Wasn’t replying to you at all. Was replying to the guy that said it’s “closer to the BRaptor”
The only things it’s close to is stock…because that’s what it is.

Are you really implying there’s nothing different?

I’m not implying anything…I’ve said outright there is NO special trans tune in the FP tune. It’s been dissected and verified by more than one well known tuner. You get the latest standard Ford strategy and a KAM reset like you get any time you load a new tune. That’s it…period.

There were a bunch of people on the Gen 3 Raptor forums getting ready to blow their load about a rumor there would be a FP tune released. I directed them to this thread for entertainment purposes and to see the massive performance increase they'd expect.

The Raptors also have an equivalent to ZFG - big power gains, actual trans tuning, and zero warranty issues.

I do believe ZFG has the 3.5 record as well. Is he the Raptor guy? lol

None of the realistic folks here are claiming massive gains lol let’s keep it in perspective for the majority of us
