Ford Performance Tune

Ford can do all this stuff, but they won't. It's all a numbers game. They won't consume engineering resources over trying to stiff a customer a couple thousand dollar repair. It ends up being a net loss for them.
I have another example, my wife's old 2014 SRT Grand Cherokee. At 30k miles, its *third* transmission had failed. Intake, tune, exhaust. On trans 3, Chryslers FINALLY flew out someone to investigate the car. They pulled the ECU cal, saw it was tuned and... covered the replacement of the transmission entirely. There was a failed heater that caused the problem and was never replaced. It's all about cause.
Fords not gonna void your entire warranty over an engine calibration, but everyone knows that. Do you jeopardize you odds of repair when the block is windowed? Sure, but I've not heard of that happening stock or tuned. You do have loads of tuned guys having axles, diffs, and transmissions replaced under warranty here though.
I get what you're trying to say but it's not doom and gloom for a 3rd party calibration. Use discretion.

Spent over an hour on the phone with my local Ford Dealership, the Ford Performance Hotline, and Ford ESP trying to find out if the FP tune would void my ESP. The short answer is nobody knows (shocking). Dealership didn't know, so I called the FP Hotline. The hotline said the dealership should know - I told them they didn't. He said to try and contact Ford ESP. I called them and got a"could possibly void the ESP" answer. I asked how I could find out FOR SURE - they then changed their answer to the FP tune WOULD void the ESP. I'm frustrated that it seems no one really knows for sure and the ESP folks defaulted to "yes it will void your ESP" when I put a little pressure on them. I'd love to have a tune, but I'm not willing to give up my 7 year, 100k mile ESP. It is what it is I guess.

It was an unexpected gift that the FP tune eliminated AUTO STOP/START. But the Auto Parking Brake remains, and I can see why FORD wouldn't touch that.
But yeah, throttle response with the FP Tune can really startle you sometimes. It almost puts the ST into the 12's with no other mods, so I guess that's to be expected.
