Hi,

I’m looking at buy a used set of winter tires for my Explorer ST. The ones in question are 245/60R18 mounted on police steelies from a 2017 Explorer.

Google tells me that the 2017 and 2020+ explorers share the same 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern, can any confirm this?

Also does anyone know if the TPMS sensors would be compatible between the two generations?

The older Gen share a bolt pattern but not the hub bore size. Older wheels won’t fit 6th Gens.
And any 315mhz TPMS will work.

Do you have any recommendations to where I can grab those interceptor wheels for the winter use? Or at least have something aftermarket that is within the $100-120/wheel?

Get the cop car wheels from a 2020 or newer.

Canada, they can be around 100$ CDN per wheel. You can negotiate for lower usually, around 90$. Dealer cost is 47$ per wheel.

Agree. But right now I've only found $175-200 per wheel for those cop car wheels. (2020+).
If I went aftermarket for winter set, what are some recommendations/sites?
