Adapted from the Timberline, now available as a kit for all Explorers, part number M-5018-EXP. Used some points from my Fordpass app and having it shipped to a local dealer for a grand total of $30. With code FALL15 on the app, 15% off until 10/31 (retail $150).

It does. Drain plug is on the left. No more fussing with the removable cover.

Good find. Ordered one too with the sale and some ford points. Install seems fairly easy. Any tips or tricks or hints anyone has found?

Floor jack or jack stand to hold the plate in place while doing it on ramps by yourself. Used that technique on my TDI Jetta, the plate is about the same size and weight.

I'm in, after 12" of snow/ice/bad plow companies this week I need better protection... The easier access for oil changes is just gravy...

This basically replaces the fabric cover near the oil pan? This seems to be much smaller than the factory shroud/cover.

I gather you guys had no issues getting yours.

Ordered mine 10/28/23... still nothing. After several attempts to find out the issue, still nothing. Order cancelled.

Same here. Called ford yesterday and they said it should have been filled already. Ordered on 10/27. They said they are sending it to a back room person to investigate why it hasn’t shipped. Said it should have been filled within 14 days and if it wasn’t filled it should have been cancelled. Bought with points and a couple bucks. Charge keeps popping up on my account for a couple days then disappears. Been going on for a month. They said I’d hear something in 3-5 days as far as a status. Ready to just cancel it at this point.

Yup, same story with mine. Maybe they don't like points.
