Has anyone used Palm Beach Dino tune?
I am a few hours a way and thought it would be nice to get tuned on the dyno.

They write a fine tune but dyno tuning a street car is largely pointless. The drum can never accurately recreate street driving. The best tuners on the planet fine tune Street tunes with data logs while actually driving.

I have the PBD 93R and 91 tunes and both are great!

I’ve been running a palm beach dyno tune since September of 2019. Currently at 140k miles and I’ve never had one issue.

just did a bunch of major upgrades and they’re doing a remap for me as we speak!

I love the tune. The reason I went with them is because you can actually call them and it's not done over email. I do have a question for you though? Does your tune with PBD show the gear you're in at all times? Like down on the bottom of the screen?

It does!

and I have had SO many other people ST people ask me how I got it there. The only answer I’ve ever come up with is the tune.

I will have to call and ask them to do that to mine. I know ZFG does it on there tune as well. Thanks man. Love the tune though. Really wakes the car up

Lived in South Florida for about 30 years. PB Dyno is highly reputable and a great shop.

FYI, the gear indication and many more changes are doable by anyone using the FORScan software and a cheap ELM327 interface device with their Windows computer. There’s a thread on this forum with the info. Search “FORScan”.

Just had PBD fix this for me. Now I can see the gears:)

I do not think showing the gears always is a part of the Forscan capability as of yet. Other Ford platforms have asked in the Forscan community forums and there was no solution. Up until recently, Livernois' tune did not show gear so I was looking at Forscan for a solution but there was none after researching.

Also, tunes that came out early, ie. late 2019, could use some updating. All tuners were just learning how to make power and better shifting with this platform. Even 5Star's shifting has improved with time, accoring to reports. If you have an early tune from any tuner dating that far back, it might be worthwhile getting an update. Speaking for the Livernois' tune, there is more power and the shifting is much better than what they initially put out.

I have 2 tunes from ZFG and it was done 100% on dyno.

Ok, I’ll try to remember to take a screen shot next time I’m connected to my Explorer. I think it was in the “IPC” module, Configuration menu, but I didn’t dig into it to find the hex word containing the switch bit. The transmission data stream is already on the vehicle data bus and the display obviously is capable, so it just needs switched on.
