Well the offset would have to be different between the two so they are not interchangeable.

False. I have S550-Mustang spec wheels on my car. +33 offset.
I was gonna say the same thing. My 20x10 GT500 wheels have an offset of +20 and fit perfectly.

Yah my info was incorrect. Whenever I looked at wheels they were always the 20x10.5 or 20x11. My bad.

Yes, REAR fitment S550/S650 Mustang wheels that are in the 20x10/11 range usually have too high an offset. My wheels are the FRONT fitment, 20x9.5 +33, but the same wheels in REAR fitment are 20x10.5 +45.

Ok so I’m curious about this lately. The mustang wheels have same hub bore so would I have any fitment issues with offset clearing the brakes?

Have winter tires and was looking for easy 18” wheel replacement and found some off a ‘11 GT. Seems simple enough?

Check the hub bore and bolt pattern on the S197 Mustangs. I know the S550/S650 share that with the Explorer, but not sure about the S197.

Yeah the hub bore is good...more so just worried about offset clearing. Dont' even know if that will matter since its so close to 'normal' wheel offset.

They should be okay but there are so many different variables. Make sure you check offset especially. What offset, wheel width, are the ones your looking at?

I'm kind of into the meatier tires. What size are you running on the 20s? I think I want to do white wheels and they're hard to find, but i found 20x9.5.
Usually 285/50/20 are the norm for 20x9.5. I went bold and tried 295/45/20 and they work just make sure you have more than +20mm offset wheels or you may rub the fender if lowered. FTL on my part.. lol

I am running 275/50/20 on my 20x9 Voxx Wheels
