Anyway of rotating my screen? I know this is foolish - but would prefer (when driving) the map going in the "up" direction when traveling. In other words, if I am going East - I don't like the map showing my movement in the horizontal direction. Does that make sense?

Thanks!

On my phone, I go to Google Maps/Account/Settings/Navigation/map display/keep map north up - OFF

Super. I pulled up Google Maps on my Android and selected KEEP MAP NORTH UP. I will pull it up on my ride later and let you know if that took care of it. Thanks for your suggestion.

UPDATE: No Joy! It might just be me - I am so use to using Garmin directions in my past Ford's. This is the first time ole Ford decided to use Google Maps (vs. Garmin, etc.). So, naturally - it is different. I never had to deal with a learning curve when it comes to Navigation aids. Leave it to Ford! I will adjust - but thanks again for your suggestion.

You want the map north up option turned off. That keeps it so that north is always up on the screen, regardless of the direction of travel. With it off, the direction of travel should always be up for you. At least that has been my experience.

OK - turned it OFF. I am convinced it is me - not Google. I am just having a problem adjusting (learning curve) to something totally different after all these years. I have used Navigation in the Ford Escape and Ford Edge for many years. Thanks for your suggestion.

OMG - When I was enlarging the Map Screen (pinch gesture with two fingers) I accidently twisted my hand and dang if the Map didn't rotate!!! Yea, I could rotate it any direction I wanted - it was the solution I was looking for...

UPDATE! I finally found out how to cause the Map to point in the upward direction when I travel. I makes it easier to read. Anyway - I attached a photo of the "compass" I never noticed before. Hit that puppy and it worked like a charm
