    Took the ZFG plunge

Brand new fluid and fill up about a month ago. Trans still shifts as hard as it feels getting rear ended. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Took the ZFG plunge

I currently have ZFG and am not overly satisfied with the results and turnaround. Trans still bucks from 1-2 in "race" mode and I was told by ZFG that the trans needs to learn. Usually, tune updates take a week, sometimes longer. Overall, the tune is better than stock and I do notice a big...

High Mileage Explorer STs check in!

Nice to see the actual high mileage guys (100K+), which shows the longevity of the STs, Going on 55K on my 20' ST. Recall on 360 done, purge valve replaced. No major issues (knock on wood). Currently a daily driver, averaging 250-300 miles a week.

    JUNK!

My ST had the 360 camera issue. Because of that, it is the worst car in the world, and so unreliable it is sickening. /Sarcasm

    JUNK!

This probably did not go in a direction the OP thought it would. Every car manufacturer has issues with their lineups. No car is perfect.

    ST vs. The Competition

X5MCs are about 70-75K used with low miles. Considering they are lightyears ahead of STs in terms of tech, quality and comfort, they do not run cheap. I am looking at an X3MC which are about 60K used with low miles. Tune/Downpipes, they are running 10s consistently.

Thermal 3" Catback with Stock Downpipes, then CVFab Downpipes after?

I started with the Thermal 3" exhaust, and decided it was not loud enough and added the CVFab downpipes. After a tune with the downpipes added, I did notice more power out of the car than previously before. Definitely worth the upgrade, plus the sound is awesome to boot.

    SLD Engine Cover -- SOLD

Curious - any pictures of this when it is on the car and if it will fit under a STB without issue?

Looking for 500hp, what’s the best plan 2023 ST 3000 miles

Nice. Happy to hear that. I am honestly contemplating going with Goose, as I have heard his tunes are fantastic and customer service is just as good. Although, I am about $2,500 into ZFG with the tune and intercooler, and updated tune I just sent in.

Looking for 500hp, what’s the best plan 2023 ST 3000 miles

Did a ton of data logging early on. Added downpipes and intake and he sent a revised tune after about a week of sending in a log. Going to do a log after I bring the car to the dealer for purge valve CEL. One thing that is slow is getting a response from Adam. I am sure he is a busy guy, but a...

Looking for 500hp, what’s the best plan 2023 ST 3000 miles

Glad to hear the shifting is good on yours. I went ahead and changed all fluids, and still getting the sluggish and hard shifts, even driving in normal mode. I think there is a slight improvement over stock, but nothing that I am overjoyed about. Wondering if I need to add a bunch of other...

Looking for 500hp, what’s the best plan 2023 ST 3000 miles

I see a lot of guys making 430-450WHP with a tune only, which is not remotely close to 500AWHP with just a tune. I can see closer to 500AWHP with E50, but not without. Based on this, I should be making well over 500AWHP on 93 with full bolt-ons, less turbos. Not sure as there are not any AWD...

Looking for 500hp, what’s the best plan 2023 ST 3000 miles

    CVFab is extremely popular.

Looking for 500hp, what’s the best plan 2023 ST 3000 miles

Tune only won't get you to 500HP easily. Tune plus mixing some E30 will probably get to 500 crank HP, definitely not WHP.

CEL Came on - Tuning Related Question

Gotcha. Yeah, not too worried if the dealer finds out. Just don't want them to flash the car and then beat the shit out of it on a stock tune with these mods. Seems it won't be an issue though.

CEL Came on - Tuning Related Question

Today a CEL came on, codes are P0456 / P0496, which appear to be the purge valve. I am thinking of bringing it to the dealer to get it done quick instead of a shop I normally go to that is about 25-30 miles away. Guessing they will flash the car, so my question is, with my mods, if the car is...
