Good progress. Careful though, you may need a parachute to slow you down :) hehehe

    FND Trailer Hitch Cover

When I got it, I went over install instructions and began trying to put it in. To my surprise, it was later determined by Optimus that the unit was damaged. I had trouble installing as the wing nuts and bolts were not securing the unit. In addition, it was an extremely tight fit, which led to...

    FND Trailer Hitch Cover

Zeus and Optimuz are the big players with the complete hitch covers. I bought the Optimuz flush style and the experience was not good, so I returned it. Now, I just have a hitch receiver insert and it is fine.

    ST vs. The Competition

Audi will be better made and have more creature comforts. However, you're going to be prone to issues as the car is riddled with electronics. From a performance standpoint, a tuned ST will mop the floor with an SQ5, being much bigger and heavier as well. A better comparison would be the SQ8 vs...

    ST vs. The Competition

I have heard BMW's are hit and miss with their reliability. A lot of people swear by them if you maintain them meticulously. Still going to keep the ST, but just want something with more luxury and oomph.

    ST vs. The Competition

New X5's also make 375HP now, instead of the 325HP. X5 V8 models are in every way superior to the ST, albeit 25K more on starting price. This excludes the actual "M" models that are well over 100K new. We will be looking at used X5M's as they make over 700HP with just a tune on pump gas.

    Turbo "fin" removal?

Just the guy I was looking for! People said it makes the spooling noise more audible, but if you want max sound, BOV/Intake, right? I currently put the UPR BOV adapter so it makes cute little "pttsshhhh" noises when you let off the throttle.

    Turbo "fin" removal?

I came across a thread on FB for an ST group and someone asked about ways to make the stock turbos louder. One guy suggested removing the pipes connected to the turbos and taking out a plastic fin. Figured I would ask here as we have more technical guys here; is this a thing? will you get a...

I don't believe common sense exists anymore, lol.

Explorer ST 1/4 Mile Times With Engine Warranty

I have had half a dozen heavily modded cars (Mustangs) and can say from experience, unless the aftermarket part you install is the direct culprit for failure, your warranty will be honored. Ford dealers normally do not want to invest time to attempt to disprove OEM parts failure by an...

    Oil change

Old thread, but here goes. UPR sells a quick drain plug that is permanent, at a one-time cost of about $60. Makes emptying the oil pan much easier. Between a decent full synthetic and a filter, each change should be around $70-$80 plus your time. I can get my oil change done in under an...

oil changes and the scheduled maintence? oil additives etc.

Amsoil also has a fuel treatment option as well that seems decent. Seafoam and STA are great options. I put one in every oil change (3K miles) Those prices are pretty nuts too.

    Best Oil Catch Can

JLT for me. Used them in my mustangs for years and they never disappoint. Plus, the price is right.

Just need someone from San Diego, so far no one has come forth. Sad news. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Explorer ST mud guard thread

Anyone on here in the San Diego area interested in custom rock guards? Got a lead from ZL1Addons and they need an ST for testing.

    Explorer ST mud guard thread

I wish ZL1Addons made one for the ST. When I had my R/T, they made rock guards that were extremely flush and thin. Not bulky at all, it was a single thin piece, but very durable.

I was really waiting for "WIFES ST". My plate is "SIC TRBO" No pics, though.

    Timberline Skid plate

Been on the fence to ordering one. Does this skid plate allow for easier access to the oil pan for oil changes, or do you still need to remove the entire thing when doing an oil change?

    Brembo brakes

Are the rotora's worth the premium price compared to the superforged, in your opinion?
