    Follow up: found the front passenger CV joint had a split boot and was binding from contamination/lack of grease. Replaced under warranty, no issues now.

    Side Mirror Overextending

    Nothing yet I guess. I’ve done the fold and press button “reset” procedure a few times but it still isn’t as it should be. I just turned off the fold-on-lock for now until someone more knowledgeable comes along.

    Yes I had to do the identical rebuild for both side mirrors on our 2009 Tahoe. The plastic worm gear cracked along the shaft and would just spin and scream when pressing the fold button. Wasn’t expensive at all, but definitely not my idea of fun.

    Mine does this too. Very odd that it just randomly started one day. Wife wasn’t thrilled because she likes the auto fold/lock feature. If anyone else has encountered a fix please share. It’s mainly the passenger side, it will hyperextend past its position towards the hood.

    I know this thread has been quiet for a bit, but I added some self adhesive foam directly over the corner foam squares (right above where the plastic “horns” protrude when vented), and a 5/16ths strip of weather stripping on the metal bar attached to the sunroof glass.
