    Driver’s window & voltages

A battery at 11.2 volts is dead and probably wouldn't start the vehicle so my guess is the component measuring the voltage is faulty. Easy to check if you have a multi meter. Drawing a 12 volt battery down to 12.2 and lower on a regular bases isn't good for it especially if it sets uncharged, a...

    I just don't know thread

I just don't get covering up these reflectors or tinting turn signals but maybe one has to be broke down on the side of a narrow road one dark as hell raining night hoping that no one rear ends them. Have a power issue were the lights don't work and you want as much shinny stuff on the back of...

    Trail Hitch Area Cover

So are you trying to say that this installs in the trailer hitch receiver?

    Gear shift/drive mode aluminum cover

EBay has these covers in red and blue that fit the gear selector, mode selector and light knob. I think the light knob is the same size as the radio knobs so one could do them as well.

Final mod complete on wife's ST.

Tonight I received the last part to mod the wife's ST. First was a clear bra to increase aero dynamic, probably added 10 mph to top end. Second was an anti slip mat on the center console lid to keep items from sliding around. Can't have a phone or sunglasses sliding around shifting the weight...

    Universal Garage/Gate Buttons

Well sure there a security risk but they have been around for 50 years so it's not like the sky is falling all of a sudden because there built into the visor. Cars have had built in buttons or storage areas for years.

    Universal Garage/Gate Buttons

Or they just use the remote that's clipped to the visor in cars that don't have it built in. This reminds me of the worry when GPS systems came out, crooks were going to get your home address and run right over because no one would be home. Garage remotes have been hanging from car visors for 50...

    Towing limitations for boat

I can't help with the actual towing since I haven't towed anything with the ST and most likely never will. Only thing I have that the ST could tow is a 5 x 10 utility trailer everything else needs a bit bigger vehicle.

    Towing limitations for boat

To be legal and safe stay withing the manufacturers weight rating. It doesn't matter how much the vehicle can pull it matters how much weight it can stop in a safe manner. Not saying your wife can't do it but why push the limits and put her and anyone else in the vehicle at risk? I've towed big...

    Cleaning Front Grill

I tried my leaf blower, didn't think it worked very good at all. Maybe my blower needs a super charger?

    WeatherTech BumpStep

Sure if you back into something just perfect the step might save your bumper but why would you want that bumper step sticking out the back of the explorer for a big what if. Not to mention it would look ridicules having a step on a vehicle that sets 8 inches off the ground. Plus you'll be...

    Weathertech Mudflaps

I got 42,000 points in the Ford Pass app within a few days of my purchase. Talking to the local parts man yesterday he told me that 42,000 points equates to about $250. I read somewhere on the net that an oil change cost 10,000 points.

    Your ST's pet name??

Not that a really name my vehicles when Ford Pass asked for a name first thing to come to mind was Spendy so I guess that's it's name until I start cussing at it.

    Sunroof vs no Sunroof

Funny how a lot of people are worried about head room with the sunroof yet I'm 6'10" tall and always wear a ball hat but don't have headroom issues with our moon roof. Sounds like an excuse looking for a reason but it's a none issue for me. Heck I'm closer to the roof of my Ram 2500 then I am in...

    WIFI reception?

How is your Explorers WIFI reception? My SYNC3 screen is freezing, flickering and jumping around. Since the local Ford shop didn't get it looked at today they recommended I let the car stay connected to WIFI for the night so it can update all it wants. Well to get it to connect to WIFI I have to...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Installed a full set of Weather Tech mats, front, mid and third row seats as well as a cargo liner which covers third row seats. Wife is happy since I can find mud in a paved parking lot.

    Tow package

Whats your f150 rated to tow? From what I see it's 5000 to 12000 pounds depending on year and model.

    Tow package

And you think a Explorer rated for 5600 pounds will be better then an F150 which is probably rated for more will be better? I suspect that the Explorer is going to have more side to side sway with the trailer behind it.

    ST front recovery points

Friday when I take the vehicle in for the clear bra I am going to ask about recovery points even if they have to put the Vehicle on a lift so I can get a good look underneath. Not sure what good it will do, sink the front end a couple inches and there will be no way to get under it and around...

    Front Tow Bolt

I have a 2021 ST no idea the Gen # but on mine the spare tire cover is plastic at the back, the plastic folds over to end right behind the 3rd row seats. Pull up on the plastic right behind the seats until you can tell where the velcro is located, use your finder to separate the velcro then pull...
