    Ford Performance Tune

Any tune, other the FPP, can potentially cause a warranty claim to be denied, everyone knows that...

    Ford Performance Tune

After sending Ford Performance a second email, here's the answer I got, it seems like it's really being developed as we speak, so I guess I'll wait until next Spring before I buy a tune because I'd rather have a fully warrantied tune with less power gain than a more powerful tune that might...

    Post your Dragy times.

I don't have a Dragy, but I have a time slip though...(60' didn't record properly, from other slips it's about 2.0, but everything else in accurate). 100% stock with AEM drop-in filter, 91 octane fuel, DA of about 2200'.

    SCT tuner

Tezz500, I know it's been a while but can you provide an update on the SCT tuner ? Truck still running good ? Any dyno numbers or 1/4 mile slips ? My local speed shop recommends this tuner but I'm looking for more real world feedback because I pull the trigger... Thanks !

Please see my post above about SCT X4, would you trust their claim ?

Need some opinions on Burger Tuning JB4 vs Racechip GTS

Gentlemen, after reading all your comments I've finally decided to go with a real tune. My local speed shop recommends the SCT X4 Tuner. On the SCT website, the listed gains seem very high for the pre-loaded tunes, which makes me wonder if they're real... About 10% HP with 87 octane and 20 %...

Need some opinions on Burger Tuning JB4 vs Racechip GTS

So for a bit more kick (40-50hp), smooth transmission programming (or no trans tune at all), keeping my factory driving modes, which one should I get then ?

    Ford Performance Tune

Reviving an old-ish thread, here's the answer I got from Ford Performance yesterday : why is it taking so long ? Hello Olivier, We have just started development on a new Explorer ST tune, however these things do take time, development, and testing, so it is not slated to be released until...

Need some opinions on Burger Tuning JB4 vs Racechip GTS

So you guys' advice is to go with a tune no matter what ? I know a few guys that run Livernois tunes in their trucks (F150) and they swear by Livernois, so I guess that would be my best option ? I know that ship their module to Canada without any problems...

Need some opinions on Burger Tuning JB4 vs Racechip GTS

I do want more power but I have no desire for more power than the extra 40-50hp. Burger Tuning customer service confirmed that the JB4 used for the F150 and older Explorer ST Ecoboost engines also fits the 3.0 Ecoboost of the ST (Rev 2 harness in my case).

Need some opinions on Burger Tuning JB4 vs Racechip GTS

I'm considering one of these 2 piggyback modules for my truck. I DO NOT want to tune it, I want to have the ability to take the module off and switch it to another vehicle down the road since I keep my trucks 1-2 years only (you get top dollars when you export a lightly used truck from Canada...

AEM Dryflow air filter = 0.1s and 0.5mph 1/4 mile improvement

After multiple runs with OEM filter and AEM Dryflow, I can confirm that the AEM indeed nets a small increase in performance. It's pretty small indeed, but at least it's something, right ? From 13.8 at 100mph down to 13.7 at 100.5mph
