    Cross Brace

Vehicle manufacturers are very weight conscious, so I really do not see them adding an engine bay part for cosmetic reasons. It likely only comes into play under heavy loading and does not normally carry any load.

    Cross Brace

That is kind of funny. They install extra weight that is only seen with the hood open, but remove a structural bolt to save money. It must serve some purpose, even if only when the vehicle is pushed to the limits.

Part ID Help - Plastic Cover Engine Bay

When purchasing the bottom mouldings, have a look to see if you have the upper cushion that rests on the moulding. Please do not mind the dirt, time for an engine cleaning.

    Ford Performance Tune

I downloaded my FP tune in late May, but only installed it a couple of weeks ago. Does the updated tune include the auto parking brake recall? For some reason my FP tune does not have the auto parking brake feature. Just the way I want it.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

    Bad battery?

If your vehicle is left outside in the winter and it gets cold where you live, a discharged battery will be damaged every time it freezes. I think newer vehicles have such a high electrical draw during normal use that every start drains the battery down and unless you drive a significant amount...

    Bad battery?

Or just stick a battery charger on it one night a week to make sure it stays charged.

    Replacing Brakes

That is standard on many models.

    Replacing Brakes

The piston screws in on the rear calipers.

    Ford Performance Tune

One thing I have noticed with the FP tune, when in sport mode, the accelerator pedal is responsive over the whole range unlike the stock tune where it is full throttle at 3/4.

    Ford Performance Tune

For some reason mine did not.

Project When I get ST back...

Won't that warranty be voided when they are installed at a later date?
