    Powertrain Control Module

Do you get deep sleep notificaitons? Surprised you wouldn't get those with the battery so low. Also, what year? I had a number of modules updated early on for my 2020 because of frequent deep sleeps. Still, my battery only lasted 3 1/2 years.

The FADA O-ring replacement would have necessitated refilling the front differential. Nothing is every guaranteed when dealing with shops but i would consider it a given. For the passenger size, if they are lazy and quick enough swapping old for new, then it's possible not to top it off and...

    Creak

what suspension mods do you have, if any? That creak is pretty bad. I'd remove the wheel and start pushing and pulling on things

    Expended Warranty

I think the decision to go with ESP is highly dependent on the year and whether or not you are tuned. MY2020-2021 are pretty problematic. MY2022 much better. MY2023+ still better. You still have to contend with Chicago plant built quality though. And if you are tuned, is an ESP worth it...

Diffy Stiffy fenfab explorer install SOLVED - Do not use the nuts provided.

Well, let me ask you this: if the single bolt did break, which of the diffy braces would be able to support the rear differential without trashing the rear end? Steeda? probably. AWR? maybe. Stiffy Diffy? doubtful. Double diffy? I'd have to say maybe.

Diffy Stiffy fenfab explorer install SOLVED - Do not use the nuts provided.

Well, does he also have the new bushing then? For all we know, that does fix the problem with the one bolt breaking---in which case, the whole rear diff support products available are just for peace of mind. Fact is, there is at least one member here who had a stiffy diffy with the old bushing...

Diffy Stiffy fenfab explorer install SOLVED - Do not use the nuts provided.

Interesting, that pic has left and right sided ones. did they have two installed? Edit: never mind...they did use two diffy stiffies. Fen Fab doesn't even have left side Diffy Stiffy for sale on their site.

The passenger side axle inserts directly into the front diff and will spill oil the moment you remove it. The front diff only holds 0.6 qts so you definitely should top it off. I've already done this procedure with the speed sensor replacement which I also elected to do myself, so i can do...

To me this is one of those fixes I would just prefer to take care of myself than to do the whole dealer warranty routine. my right one leaked, bought both left and right axles, installed both in about an hour, including topping off the front differential oil.

Key fob lost power on me

isn't it a pain to lock the car with the door code pad?

Key fob lost power on me

Yeah, no warning. I did have my keys scrunched in a smaller shirt pocket with my wallet. Maybe one of the buttons was pressed for a prolonged period and drained the key fob batteries.

Key fob lost power on me

Surprised it hasn't happened to me sooner. Went to drive home from work. Doors would not unlock. Keyfob acted like it's dead. What saved me was the door code entry--I can't believe they are making this an option for 2025. Once inside, I put the Fob in the special pocket in the console and...

Diffy Stiffy fenfab explorer install SOLVED - Do not use the nuts provided.

i think you mean the durometer measurements of the bushings used? Stiffy diffy is the only one Ive seen on a failed mount and the Stiffy Diffy was all bent to hell.

I wouldn't trust that install at all. Looks light duty. Also, the diffy stiffy is not the one to get, regardless.

    "Clack" Sound In Reverse

You sure it's from the front? Sounds like the metallic "tink" sound that is fixed by lubing the axle splines. I suppose the same thing can happen for the front axles?

Can we start a campaign to get Ford to make a vertical to horizontal conversion kit?

Thankfully for the 2025 Explorers, Google will be doing the infotainment. Playtime is over.

    Wireless CarPlay

I see you have a 2024. Big mistake. I'd be pissed too... at myself. There's going to be a lot of MY2024 buyer's remorse when the 2025s come out in about a month's time with so much better tech and interior. You should have waited. You might have even saved some money if you paid $60k for...

    Wireless CarPlay

If i'm not mistaken, wireless carplay came out in 2017. And I think BMW was charging a yearly subscription for that feature at that time. When I bought my 2020 in 2019, I was hoping it would have wireless Carplay--my wife's 2021 Audi did.
