    Headlight switch glitch

I've had the headlight switch malfunction 3 times in the past 2 years. I keep a trim tool in my car so I can pop the switch out and disconnect it. After I reconnect it, it's fine. If it happens more often than it does, I'm going to replace it. Not that expensive. For me, the switch no...

    2022 Tires Worn Already?

Add a tire gauge to the tool box. Cheap and that way YOU know you need tires--not just someone telling you. And by not rotating the tires, that dealers is probably trying to get one pair to wear out faster so you buy a new set next year. I am lucky to have a winter set so it forces me to...

    Transmission proper fluid level

Well by the book, it's at the right level (on the lower limit anyways). But last time I filled, I put it to 3. I put it to 4.5 the first time but people recommend on the fuller side.

    Transmission proper fluid level

Doubt it. there is black residue above the oil line. Probably just a little bit dirty dip stick. It's not easy to extract that dip stick cleanly so contact with neighboring surfaces can soil the dip stick. That oil does have a little red hue to it so I don't think it's that spent. At 60k...

    Problem connecting Forscan when tuned.

I guess I use mine frequently. I run scans every so often and bring my OBDLink MX+ on trips. Sometimes I run service procedures like reseting trans adaptive tables or resetting modules that might be acting up. Not talking making config changes. No way am I flashing back to stock everytime I...

    Problem connecting Forscan when tuned.

I have used Forscan and Forscan Lite with my ST for years and never had a problem. I recently tried connecting using Forscan Lite and encountered the following error which can occur with full version of Forscan as well if you are tuned. If you don't want to flash back to stock and then...

Metallic pinging/grinding sound intermittently, AWD fault light + tons of other error faults showing up on dash

Yeah, sounds like the FADA. $4200 is a little much though so not sure what else they are thinking. I think the FADA TSB is around $600 in parts and 8 hours labor.

Doing the PMI on the AWD module

I've never done it, but my understanding is that if you load factory As-Built data for the AWD module in Forscan, and then write it to your new module, that should work.

Check Engine Light during vacation, please help

Anything that brings up the CEL should be looked at. There are plenty of minor faults that don't trigger a CEL, only a code stored. Is it a persistent CEL engine symbol light or are you talking about a dash warning saying one of the drivetrain features is disabled (which happens more commonly).

    Rear Axle Seal Leak

the technical sheet for the bushing change only calls for the drivers side axle to be removed and it’s seal to be replaced. But if your work order says they had replaced the passenger side too, then you have a good argument that it may be a reinstallation issue and get it comp’d.

360 Camera disabled. Why? What’s the fix?

Yes, they are. The title of the thread is misleading--the 360 camera system has not been DISABLED. It simply doesn't have the feature, even if parts may be present like the handsfree rear liftgate.

    Rear Axle Seal Leak

No, sorry. 2022? Still under warranty?

    Rear Axle Seal Leak

I only asked because if the driver's side, it may be related to the bushing replacement. It is really up to you if you want to replace all the one-time-use bolts and axle nut. I would imagine the process would be similar to how we would do a rear spring change except you dont touch the...

    Rear Axle Seal Leak

is this on the driver's side? Did you have the rear diff mount replaced recently?

    struts/shocks

PIU shocks/struts are a good choice IMHO. Last I checked, they came down in price. On my second set of PIU rears and think would recommend them. Seems even vendors say Bilstein has no immediate plans for a set.

    oil extractor recommendations

OEM TOOLS 24938 9.5 Liter... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07N7X4TP9?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I use this model for the engine oil and trans oil on my ST, as well as engine oil on my Mazda and Audi. I used to have a smaller extractor for my BMW but it is too small. You will extract 6L of engine...
