Oh boy, that’s not a great improvement at all. I’m going to assume that you have a X4 SCT device if you went with 5*. If that’s the case, order up the AO tune from Gearhead or a dedicated octane tune from Unleashed and you’ll see some much improved times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Doesn’t matter aftermarket or not. I had a brand new OEM injector that would run rich under idle/low load on the 3.5 build (F150) and it was a pain to troubleshoot. That was after spending the dough to get the set flow tested in hopes of finding a bad egg before install. I have my fingers...

I would also check the plugs. But if you have a scan tool, you should be able to pick up a bad injector with the proper load balance test. Totally anecdotal, but injectors do fail so I would say that you may be on the right track. Just be thankful it didn’t fail open like DW’s are known to do...

One angle that I'm not sure has been covered here, but the FP tune also appears to be tow friendly. Probably one factor in the lower overall HP. The durability testing they require would include all driving modes and capacities.

Good question, not sure if anyone has done that. In the case of a SCT device the FP tune strategy would have to be supported by SCT or the SCT tune wouldn’t load and I doubt that SCT would support the FP strategy, as it’s really an aftermarket tune. For HPT, I don’t think it really matters...
