Almost Lost Her - Random Post

Ur still here!!!! I was wondering if your rig and her unique wrap was still kicking about this forum. Looks similar to mine these days. The weather and roads are SO GROSS.

    Steeda Sway Bar Limits

100% yes. truck feels dramatically more planted even just on long sweeping corners--in the tight twisty stuff its a game changer. with the less body roll its also much easier to feel in the steering wheel where your limit of grip is and you actually start hearing the tires make some noise before...

    ST - Storm Trooper Build

To my knowledge, the one that is out there was kind of a bust after the folks that bought it realized they couldn't get the wheels flush with the kit without serious inner fender trimming. That is going to be an issue for any kit. As folks have noticed, protrusion further outboard from stock...

    New wheels … new issues

to reiterate, there are alot of guys running 305/40r22s and i know at least a half dozen who are also running toyo proxes st IIIs (ridiculously good tire for the price btw). several others are running 305/35r22s (which are smaller in diameter than stock), also without issue. not a single one of...

    Fordpass or Forscan

I wouldn't call it amazing--its painfully obvious that its an app built by a car company that hired (contracted) app developers rather than a software company's product that they made for a car--there are some pretty big human factors issues, but it is MUCH better than it was in 2020.

    New wheels … new issues

strange. i also have 305/40r22s and have never had a single fault. wonder why yours threw a code...

    Adaptive cruise control

also, just in case OP isn't aware, the adaptive cruise is separate from the lane keep assist. the green steering wheel is the lane keep assist. you can turn it off with the tiny button on the tip of the turn signal stalk. i've had decent luck with keeping adaptive cruise running longer than lane...

    Dream Car

These are ya'lls "dream" cars.... you need to think bigger (the Lusso excepted--I miss driving my buddy's FF terribly). Semi-Attainable Dream Car Unobtainable Dream Car

FS $2,100 - "almost" Brand New (less than 200 miles) Tire/Wheel Combo. 20x10" TSW Bristol and 295/45r20 Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06+ Tires

This is an awesome deal and a handsome set of wheels. Good luck with the sale. Its too bad your tire shop couldn't be bothered to use black wheel weights.... That would have driven me bonkers.

    For you suspension experts

Ford's stock dampers are velocity based not position based. Drop springs will have no effect on damping. The ride may be stiffer due to altered spring rate but there is only a single compression circuit and a single rebound circuit. The increase in spring rate "may" theoretically affect the...

New Paint job & Diffuser & more carbon fiber

I was waiting to see one of the widebody kits in the flesh. Can you show a more acute angle? Curious how flush the wheels sit... what is your offset and wheel size?

    Ford's new MegaZilla crate engine

I've fantasized about a twin turbo 2JZ Explorer ST. You would lose any and all functionality of the car stuff due to the need to run a MoTeC ECU, but it would be an all wheel drive riot.

New Owner, 2022 Ford Explorer ST Forged Green Metallic

True. I don't own either and haven't even heard either in person, so my point is all heresay.... if you are concerned about the wife driving and being annoyed, maybe go with what this guy says. Either way I think its a pretty solid consensus among owners that Thermal makes the best out of the...

    Used ST's

so freaking true... thinking about how i got mine for a few thousand under MSRP WITH 0% 72 mo financing from a dealership that was DEAD (April '20) and begging for anyone to come in.... it doesn't even seem like the same universe as today's conditions

New Owner, 2022 Ford Explorer ST Forged Green Metallic

I would actually get the 3" system if I was buying today. I've heard it sounds a little mellower and hits lower frequencies when under part throttle, which helps with drone around 1500-1700 rpm. If I had just done this from day 1 I would have saved soooo much money...

New Owner, 2022 Ford Explorer ST Forged Green Metallic

Certainly not required and not necessarily recommended unless you are looking to make as much power as you can from the platform. Its been shown that the stock cats on this vehicle are not a restriction to any tune that isn't requiring some other big mods on the air intake/fuel side of things...

New Owner, 2022 Ford Explorer ST Forged Green Metallic

Awesome! Welcome to the forum! If you haven't purchased the ATAK yet, I would advise getting the S-Type, or another different system on the market with 2.5" pipes. I went the Borla route initially and regretted it from day 1. The ATAK is REALLY loud (and I love loud exhaust), which only got...

    Used ST's

I will echo Kansas about the bench seat issue. The two setups ARE NOT convertible like they are for Tahoes/Suburbans. everyone is pointing out the negatives of the latter years, but you also have to remember that us with 20s were subject to literally a dozen various module updates, the blue...

    Nasty Tire Vibration Solved

They hold up great. Really good tire. Same with the Conti Sport Contacts. I've also been insanely impressed with my Toyo Proxes, especially considering they were a cheap option I chose to make sure my fitment was going to work before investing in a set of Pilot Super Sports.

    2022 Ford Explorer Platinum ST

yeah, let me know. I had to have Adam build me a new tune for 91 because my 93 and E50 tunes were proving impossible to deal with out here. fueling was the BIGGEST pain the butt. I am missing ethanol too--the difference really is quite stark.
