What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

got it all packed up and loaded with its sibling for its trip west. to address any comments, there is approx 1000lbs of tools and gear ahead of the explorer in the trailer--despite the fatass in the back, its load balanced. side note. if there are any users here in southern idaho or American...

    Novice wheel question…

A true apples to apples comparison would be the AGL22…. Which is you guessed it, $5999. Or Forgeline or even freaking Vossens. There is sooooo many options in the flow formed space that you could get nice set of wheels for only a $2k-$3k. They won’t be gucci but they will be miles better than...

    Anyone do rear only spacers?

Yup. I have the "ideal" 22x10.5+30 wheels like most people on here but the front track width is 0.5" wider than the rear and that always bothered me, so I added 0.25" spacers in the rear.

Limits of stock turbos HP wise

also, it was glossed over above but ZFG won't provide you a tune with catless downpipes. not only are they 100% unnecessary, but they are just asking for trouble in this day and age. the cats will NOT be the limiting factor on any ST build.

Pre orders Wide Body and Front Splitter

Has anyone with the widebody kit tried fitting wheels flush with it yet? I decided not to pull the trigger as my calculations said I would need to do some serious trimming of fenderliner sheet metal so I'm just curious how far out people were able to push things. I saw one pic of an installed...

    Best Outdoor Car Cover

Hey Y'all. Selling my house in MD and moving to Idaho. Building out there and the garage/shop isn't finished. My '20 is my "fun" vehicle so it has less than 15k miles, has been stored in a garage its whole life, and hasn't even seen rain/snow yet, so the idea of it sitting outside all the time...

    Hub Centric Spacers?

Makes sense. FYI, I'm running 22x10.5+30 wheels and am ALSO running a 0.25" spacer in the rear as the front track width is 0.5" wider than the rear track width. So you have some room to play with. If you go any wider than 0.25" on spacers, especially if you move to studded ones, I would ONLY...

    Hub Centric Spacers?

I can't say if they will be "safe" as I have no experience with that particular company. But they will fit appropriately. Curious though? Why only 5mm? Are you trying to space out an aftermarket wheel? If you are looking to space out the stockers, the reccd' fitment is 1.25" fr, 1.5"rr.

    Hub Centric Spacers?

0.25" or ~7mm. Dont ever install extended lug studs. If you need to go thicker than 0.25" then just get Bora spacers with built in lugs. You will need 1.25" or greater to avoid needing to trim the studs.

2023 Explorer images leaked (from China)

It almost looks like a Chinese knockoff of the actual Explorer--but there are some new design cues that I really like (the light bar across the top of the grille and the Lincoln-esque tailgate), but others that are really really bad (the new lower front fascia and the new grille).

Anyone tried the 22" wheel from the 13-14 edge sport on their ST

He didn't but he said "these will go on my truck"... I assumed he meant his Explorer ST, which is a 5 lug, not 6 as shown in the pic of the wheels. I was wondering where he found those wheels that would fit our vehicle. Its probably just a miscommunication but does that make more sense?

Why we didn't buy an Explorer ST, and other various thoughts

The squeaky interior of my BIL's SRT would like to have a word with you. Great initial interior quality? Sure. 2 years in? My interior is holding up WAY better and I even have 3 kids let loose in the back compared to his 1. His leather has creases EVERYWHERE, the carpet is pilling, there are...

    Explorer ST exhaust

What they said. There are a few axle-back systems on the market, just pick one of those you like. It will be a 30-minute bolt-on affair you can do yourself and it will be way easier than trying to cut and weld on new tips (and might even be cheaper than paying a muffler shop to do it).

    Toyota Debuts First-Ever GR Corolla

Since we know Ford went "Only Trucks Bro.... except Mustang, but its also an SUV now" I'm not as upset by the existence of this and no Focus RS as I am upset that this exists and there is no new Subaru STI and the STI hatch was killed off years ago. My conspiracy theory is that since Toyota now...

Car Porn ! Awesome Pictures !

I see your 4 carbs and raise you. Seriously though--you are giving me flashbacks. If I never have to look at, tune, set jets, adjust, or touch another carb in this lifetime I will die happy.
