    New Sync 3 Version 3.4.22251

That's correct, even though I keep getting the 'systems are disabled to protect the battery' or something like that. But yes it finished downloading and installed while the vehicle was off.

    New Sync 3 Version 3.4.22251

Mine updated on wifi from Build 22200 to Build 22251 with no issues. I started the download when I pulled into the garage, shut it off and went into the house. The next day I checked it and the update was complete, I have a wifi access point in the garage so the signal is pretty strong.

    New wheels … new issues

I installed the same size tires with no issues or warning lights. But after I installed the FRP Tune I used the ProCal tool to change the tire size using the revolutions per mile. Well when I drove I got the same 4x4 warnings along with ABS/Stability warnings, so I returned the tire size back to...

    New California Owner!!

I never asked for a quote since I instlled the intercooler myself, but I work with one of the owners of this shop and they do good work and they do some custom/performance work too. It could be worth it to give them a call and ask: https://goo.gl/maps/UHqqcmyzohp512PG8

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

That's beautiful! Did you have to remove and reattach the rear ST badge? If so, did you replace the two sided tape?

    Check your plugs

Same, I still have a working dwell/tach and a portable ignition scope. I can't just throw them away!

    Ford Performance Tune

That's correct, most likely by the time they get to the first emissions test the 2022 should be approved anyway. The OBDII test checks for MIL status (on or off), DTC's, and Mode $06 monitor status, the BAR OIS doesn't check for software versions yet as far as I know. (I let my license lapse a...

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Yes I've also used the throttle release method before and it works great, but I'm one of those people who just miss the old days of cranks and levers and loud noisy mechanical things lol!

    Ford Performance Tune

You're correct, I'm a former CA Smog Tech/BAR Trainer and a factory tune would not be identified during a normal emmissions inspection.

High Mileage Explorer STs check in!

Yeah, it really only acts up when it's hot. So I'll let them try again next summer.

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

The auto parking brake came with my FRP Tune, I always use the parking brake anyway and use the button to release it. No issues here!

High Mileage Explorer STs check in!

Our 2021 ST has 14,886 miles on her so far, mostly driven by the wife to pick up groceries and dry cleaning. I mostly get to drive on the road trips lol!. The rear camera has been replaced 3 times and still acts up occasionally, no other issues.

Help With Keyless Entry Factory Code

The factoy code is stored in the BCM (bod control module), if you have a scantool you can read the code there. The last tool I used showed the code in PID list, I'm sure other tools may be different. Here's the procedure to retrieve the code from Ford using the keyfobs: Factory Keycode...

Auto start and the factory tune

My autostart still funtions normally with the FP Tune, it always starts in default 'Normal' mode so I cannot test it in 'Sport' mode. No issues though.

    Is the Ford Tune noticable?

Almost 500 miles on my tune, it's no ZFG tune but I love the improved throttle response and shifitng. The power band definately starts a lot lower and it's actually smoother acceleration than my stock tune.
