Swap Roof Rails for Roof Rail Delete ‘21 ST?

I doubt the OP is still looking but I totally get what he wants. No roof rails on an SUV is like no whip cream on your hot fudge sundae ... a waste.

who has some tune comparison insight?

Everything is still the same. FP tune remains #1. It saves your warranty, every other tune breaks your warranty.

    ST vs. The Competition

Info from my first post on Explorer ST now includes FP Tune price + test data. Remember, this comparison thread is only for vehicles with a manufacturer's warranty.

    ST vs. The Competition

Not with the FP tune it isn't ... My best 100% bone stock time with 93 octane fuel was 0-60 mph in 5.39 sec and the 1/4 in 13.72@99.80 mph. My best FP tune only run so far with 93 octane fuel was 0-60 mph in 4.76 sec and the 1/4 in 13.15@102.76 mph. That's an improvement of .63 sec 0-60 mph...

    Ford Performance Tune

It was an unexpected gift that the FP tune eliminated AUTO STOP/START. But the Auto Parking Brake remains, and I can see why FORD wouldn't touch that. But yeah, throttle response with the FP Tune can really startle you sometimes. It almost puts the ST into the 12's with no other mods, so I...

    Ford Performance Tune

Gotta do what you gotta do. One thing is for dang sure though, with 3rd party tunes your warranty can be voided by FORD at will. With the FP tune you retain your 3/36, which literally puts it ahead of everything else out there. Hands down.

Best tune for 2020+ Ford Explorer ST

Great read from FP on their tunes vs. 3rd party offerings: ProCal - Performance Calibrations https://performanceparts.ford.com/procal/ There's a reason why owners still retain your warranty with FP, and why they lose it without them. As long as people recognize that, fine. It's your $$ and...

Another example of the FP tune silencing the ignorant whiners. The 0-60 and 1/8 mile times on my FP only tune ST are identical to this guy's test of a Durango SRT 392. Both retain their 3/36 engine warranty, but the Dodge costs $25k more. Great win for the FP tune. Explorer ST FP Tune ...

    Ford Performance Tune

Awesome to hear you're enjoying the FP tune! When I go in for routine maintenance at the dealer I tell the person who handled my FP tune install how happy I am with it. :)

    Ford Performance Tune

It's not just about the dealer, it's also if FORD Corporate red flags a warranty repair. FOMOCO can call for the pcm to be removed and examined (something that has been documented by every manufacturer). If they don't like what they find, the warranty is void and the repair is on the...

I can respect you because you understand the severe warranty risk people take with 3rd party tunes.(y) I can't respect those who foolishly choose to remain in abject denial about their warranty voiding 3rd party tunes.(n)

    Ford Performance Tune

Right on brother! If people want to retain the 3/36 engine & drivetrain warranty on their $60k SUV, get the FP Tune. If people want to brick the 3/36 engine & drivetrain warranty on their $60k SUV, get a non FP Tune. It doesn't get any simpler than that. Denying this is just a form of...

    Dragy results

Great back up to my previous 13.15, a 13.21 ... Interesting that an FP tuned ST is a match for the 13.11 quarter I ran with the bone stock Stinger GT AWD I had (see below). Impressive for two vehicles that both still have a factory warranty, and are almost in the 12's, that cost me...

    0-60 Numbers

3,610 DA? Yikes! I came within .18 sec of your 0-60 with my Ford Performance Tune, but my DA was a whole lot lower.

Third Party Tune = Engine Warranty VOID Ford Performance Tune = 3/36 Engine Warranty INTACT Anyone who opposes those two concrete facts is either a liar or they don't understand basic concepts. Look, you want to a third party tune? Fine. But don't pretend that forum members think FORD will...

https://www.autoblog.com/2023/05/15/2023-dodge-challenger-hellcat-tune-turns-into-a-36000-repair-bill/ The Hellcat owner whined on the Challenger FB Club page saying his warranty for a blown engine was denied because of a "mid-muffler delete." That is, until Stellantis responded that their...
