    Axle oil change

They are officially billed as "lifetime" oils. Its a new trend 'ze Germans started and its spreading. Doesn't mean lifetime of the car, just lifetime of ownership which the manual and most others assume to be 100,000k. Personally? I plan to do transmission and diffs at 60k.

ZFG: I guess I'm a fanboy now too

The ZFG Tune will show what gear you are in at all times in the gauge cluster so it takes the guessing out of things.

ZFG: I guess I'm a fanboy now too

Same experience here. 1-2, 3-4, and 4-5 all needed work. But they also needed work BEFORE the tune so I certainly don't blame Adam's baseline configuration.

    Coilovers anyone ?

100% how I feel right now. Some really good struts with appropriate springrate and vehicle weight damping for the reduced travel + H&R/Steeda and there is zero reason for a aftermarket coilover setup.

    Oil catch cans

No matter the use case, ANY direct injected engine without also port injection (such as the 3.0L ecoboost) needs a catch can unless you like doing valve cleanings every 60k

    SPD downpipes

    2021 Explorer ST Headlights

Congrats! Is it a '22 or '21? The '20 I drove when I was deciding between an Aviator and an ST felt like the gas engine and electric motor were two separate entities who had no way of speaking to each other. It was horrible. Super jerkey and could never decide if it wanted to be hyper sensitive...

    PowerStop Brake Pads?

If you got the HP pack or track pack or whatever they called it (the premium above the street pack red calipers), swap for the normal street pack pads (normal red caliper upgrade). My ST came with the HP pads and they howled from day 1. it was a dealer-installed item, so I swapped out for the...

    22” Wheels??

Custom forged wheels. BCForged, Vossen, SuperForged, etc. You specify width, offset, bolt pattern, bore size, etc. They build it.

Focal, Mosconi, Illusion and Helix build

@UNBROKEN I do have a question though. why three amps? mind sharing how you set up your audio channels and what signals are going where?

Focal, Mosconi, Illusion and Helix build

Its hard to see in the pic but that entire setup is below the load floor. The stock cover actually still fits into place. One of the things I am most loving about this build is how completely stealth it is. There is ZERO indication that anything isn't OEM until you start looking REAL closely at...

    Lowering your Explorer ST!

Most (including me) are on lowering springs AND 22s. Going bigger wheelsize doesn't lead to a bigger overall diameter of wheel/tire combo, you just have shorter sidewalls. A few guys like me have gone 305/40 which is an actually larger overall diameter but the clearance is REAL close and your...

Focal, Mosconi, Illusion and Helix build

Your wife definitely got the "yeah babe, I kept it under $10k" white lie... I REALLY want you to put this beast on a scale. You have to have over 100lbs worth of sound deadening... Beyond the cost of components, the install is better than 95% of professional show installations I have seen. well...

    Lowering Springs Pros and Cons

I agree 100%. I would much rather spend money on a set of B8s than actual coilovers--thats really all this SUV needs is a good set of struts.

I have owned my 2021 Explorer ST for exactly 24 hours!

    Welcome to the neighborhood!!!

    Anyone upgrade their Turbo Yet?

Same. The For Sale posting by ZFG is REALLY REALLY tempting, its a screaming deal. The money is there in my "fun account", I'm just trying to decide whether or not to pull the trigger...

aFe Intake -vs- Whipple Intercooler -vs- Downpipe

Which Brett at FenFab provides. His welds are gorgeous.

    Faux Carbon Fiber Dash Trim

I posted this in your other thread, but mind sharing how you did that pinstripe? It looks really good!

    Whipple Install

What he said. Devote an entire day, take your time, make sure you have a helper nearby to help support/hold the front fascia while you line up hardware or remove clips. The intercooler does come with paper instructions too. Read those through in their entirety a couple times before starting...
