    PIU struts/shocks

Nothing misleading at all. Steeda knows there are issues. Look at the pic I posted on the first page. If you powder coat a suspension part that will flex/twist/bend, the powder coating will crack and eventually flake off. To each his own.

    PIU struts/shocks

You can look it up right from the Ford Parts site, or do a search. It’s been brought up many times. If you don’t want a rusted out aftermarket bar, the PIU version is the way to go.

    2020 ST BRAKES

There can be such bad info on forums and especially Facebook groups. The service manual is clear on how to go about the procedure.

    Catch Can OEM Part Numbers

You can easily look up the part number on the Ford parts site. What’s on the tag isn’t the part number, it’s the engineering number which is not the same. That being said, a dealership isn’t going to care about a catch can.

    FP black lug nuts

Ford Performance sent out a new set, but I won’t end up using them. The stock lugs are fine for now and still look new.

Updated FORScan sheet for 2020+ Ford Explorer (All Trims)

Two other good ones are being able to plug in Nav info while driving, and the fog light for turns at low speed. Can’t recall where they are in the modules since it’s been a few years since I used the program, but they were easy to find.

    FP black lug nuts

These are OE Ford lug nuts that were purchased through a Ford Performance dealer. Had them on since last January, with the wheels coming off just a couple times for some warranty service. Most of the coating has worn and many of them are bulged to the point that the socket would barely fit, if...

SLD UPDATE 21” OEM Ford Explorer ST Wheel/New in Box (2020-2024)

I bought one - it’s a great deal for anyone wanting a spare. Chuck shipped it fast and it was perfect upon arrival!

    K&N CAI for the ST

Nice. A decent price and quite the cool look. They’ve put out some decent stuff lately: added their oil separator to my wife’s Ecoboost Bronco, but decided to skip the CAI for it. Have never been a big fan of them, but could be tempted to pick up this one for my ST.

    PIU struts/shocks

You’d have to find one and get the spring codes off the VIN label to know. PD gear would do it.

Converting crossmember from 1 bolt to 2

That is my site. Needs plenty of updating, but life has gotten in the way over the last couple years. Glad you like it!

    PIU struts/shocks

When I picked up the PIU rear bar and shocks, I cross-referenced my ST springs and their codes came up as the same for a PIU. As mentioned, the ride height difference is most likely weight and tires. I still say the dampers are stiffer per SOTP feel, but again, no hard data. Either way, the...

    Best Oil Catch Can

What’s “best” is always subjective. You don’t need to spend a ton. Have a Mishimoto kit on my ST - very nice “factory-like” fit. https://www.mishimoto.com/baffled-oil-catch-can-kit-ford-explorer-st-2020.html K&N also makes nice ones now for about $50 less. Just put one of these on my wife’s...

    Timberline Skid plate

Zero issues, which is to be expected. Had an oil change knocked out last week with the skid plate on and it was completely uneventful as well.

Customer Satisfaction Program 22N17 - Easy, and inexpensive, DIY.

I’ve been putting this off for quite a while since it’s the only issue I’ve had with my ‘20 in four years of ownership. Having better things to do than take time out of my day for a trip to the dealership, I tackled it on my own in about 10 minutes for a whopping $15. Sure it shows the time for...

Having fun without losing towing capability

There’s a lot of info out there that can be found with a search. That being said, here’s a perfect recipe for a DD that will tow without missing a beat: Ford PIU rear sway bar and matching [stiffer] shocks. All the Steeda stuff will rust and rot if you have to deal with snow and salt. For a...

    Ford Performance Exhaust

It’s been brought up many times - search. Ford Performance has been using Borla for several decades. No different here.

    Timberline Skid plate

Click on the link you just quoted - has a hi-res picture. Just requires bolts and speed nuts - also shown in the instruction sheet. Any parts guy should be able to get everything.

    Timberline Skid plate

Read it again: OE part number. You can buy it directly from a Ford dealer since it’s a Timberline part. The FP kit is the same, just with their number - they have been doing this for decades.
