rear swaybar comparison AFE vs Steeda?

It’s not a bad “upgrade” - I have a new one coming since I’m taking off the Steeda bar (all rusted and needs to be re-coated). Any larger bar in the rear for an IRS vehicle is going to help with turn-in, so you can’t go wrong! Funny enough, the ST has the smallest front sway bar (34mm) compared...

rear swaybar comparison AFE vs Steeda?

Just springs. The PIU has struts/shocks that are valved differently (looking in to that now, out of curiosity). The PD sway bars are also slightly larger.

    Steeda Sway Bar Limits

The ST’s rear sway bar has a diameter of 21.7mm…which is just about 7/8”. The next size up is 23mm, used on the police version.

    ExST Intercooler Comparisons

Steeda still sells the Whipple intercooler. Judging by how my intercooler was packed, it does not look like a Whipple unit either, although that’s a simple perspective. Not a hard design to reproduce, and I’m thinking Steeda is making it in-house.

rear swaybar comparison AFE vs Steeda?

Actually, the factory ST/Aviator bar is slightly larger than 3/4” at 21.7mm. The next step up is the Interceptor bar at 23mm then Steeda & AFE coming in at 25.4mm. The smallest one is 20mm on the base models.

    ExST Intercooler Comparisons

Don’t know. Steeda is pretty tight-lipped about that stuff. They might even be making them at their Valdosta facility, but I did ask Jason at CVF and he confirmed they are not the supplier.

who has the Steeda Explorer 2.3L/3.0L ProFlow Intercooler Power Package - SCT BDX

Yes, it doesn’t take much to pump up the fun, for not a ton of coin. A good axle-back and an intercooler/tune kit like this is a great start. It handles pretty well on stock springs, but a bigger rear sway bar is a good add to cut down on some of the under-steer (going the really inexpensive...

The Steeda version is not made by CVF, but it’s still a quality piece.

who has the Steeda Explorer 2.3L/3.0L ProFlow Intercooler Power Package - SCT BDX

https://www.explorerst.org/threads/new-ic-from-steeda.4532/ Skipped the BDX and went to the X4. Much simpler to use and update. The canned tune is quite good, as are several from other tuners that use SCT. Great package if you want to simply just update the fun factor for a daily driver.

    SCT X4 tuner / tune results !!

For those of us that couldn’t care less about drag racing or wringing every tenth or extra bit of power, the X4 is a great bang for the buck if you just want to up the fun factor. An intercooler and even a canned tune work wonders, and definitely not as pricey as some of the others. The Steeda...

is the Ford Thinkware dash cam setup plug and play?

It is plug-and-play. The harness is a jumper off the OBD port - very easy install and works great. The front camera took about 20 minutes, and I’ll run the rear whenever the weather warms up in my state.

    SCT X4 tuner information

This right here. Went with the Steeda package with the intercooler/X4 and it was an amazing transformation (they have a good video on YouTube). That being said, I picked up an AutoOctane tune from Gearhead since I don’t always need 93 in the winter. Very happy with SCT.

New Gibson axle-back kit in the works

It was mentioned earlier in the thread…along with the need to replace the bolts that come with them since they are junk. You need grade 10.9 bolts in there. Cranked mine down with an impact gun and there are no leaks at all.

has anyone tried the ADDW1 catch can?

Have one on my Cobra - works great. Didn’t use it on my ST since I preferred the pre-formed hoses with the Mishimoto version. Probably easy enough to adapt here with a little brain power.

    Replacement exhaust….that’s quiet

If you want relatively quiet while taking the stock resonator and the breaking weld issues out of play, the MRT H-pipe is the way to go. Adds a nice little rumble but has no drone and won’t annoy you or anyone at all. Easy to install as well.

    New Pirelli tire

Had mine installed today, although I was tempted to just store them in my garage until later in the year since I still had about 5/32” of tread on my OE Scorpions. Even though the MI winter has been mild - so far - just decided to get these mounted to avoid the hassle of hauling tires back to...

    New Pirelli tire

I sent an e-mail to Pirelli specifically asking about the warm(er) weather traction, and whether it was sacrificed at all for the better cold/snow grip. With a treadwear of 700 compared to the Zero’s 500 rating (both are ‘A’ traction for what it’s worth), I’m hoping they’ll still have a solid...
