    Lurking and learning!!

Welcome and lurk away, a lot of us did. Is this a shot off the BR Parkway? Bet that C8 rips it. Many on this forum have upgraded the suspension on the ST with performance springs and rear sway bar. The ST responds well to those upgrades, no C8 but pretty impressive for 6 passenger grocery...

High Mileage Explorer STs check in!

No objection to stalking here. I did the same thing for more than 6 months before I took the leap. First and only forum I've ever belonged to.

High Mileage Explorer STs check in!

KNTRDR, UNBROKEN and TMac and many others on the site since late 2019 and early 2020, what ever happened to the days this forum was consumed with venom about BUYBACKS? Now I'm reading about high mileage ST "(shoulder shrug) hey, got a problem here or there but still love the car". Times have...

    Check your plugs

Still have all the equipment in good working order. Maybe should donate to a museum. Timing light has got to be 45-50 years old. Same for dwell/tach meter.

    New IC from STEEDA

I would say yes. Disassembly to remove the OEM should be the same. Setting the new IC may have a very minor difference. Most that have weighed in feel the Steeda is a rebranded Whipple. Don't be in a hurry. Lift the front end on jack stands and remove front tires. I found this to allow...

Replacing OEM Street Pack 21" with Geolandar XC-V

only comment I can make beyond what I posted above is road noise. The tires I bought didn’t have the noise cancellation foam like the OEMs. Not terrible but noticeable I will say the tires I bought have very good wet traction. Found out when I was almost broad sided on the interstate at 60+ mph...

    ZFG Auto Octane MPG

Can't comment on the Ford tune, never used it and don't personally know anyone that has. All I can say is I'm happy with the ZFG tune.

Replacing OEM Street Pack 21" with Geolandar XC-V

Had to replace mine as well. Wanted the Geolander but had a trip scheduled and couldn't wait. I did the same research and came to the same conclusion. Unfortunately not available. Ended up going with Viredestein Quatrack. So far so good but interested in your impression of the Yokohamas. My ST...

    ZFG Auto Octane MPG

Unbroken and TMac are on point. I've run the ZFG Auto Octane Tune for about 6 months. Typical driving. A lot of city driving, Two trips to Washington DC, few runs on the Blueriidge kind of thing Shortly after tune instal mileage went down about 2 mpg, totally on me. Checking out the new...

ZFG map revisions for new modifications

Do a search for MPV13 and TDN issues. Others reported a similar issue. Hope that helps.

    Ford Performance Tune

St8, I went with the auto octane tune. Told Adam what my goals were which required slightly higher than the quoted WHP of 50. Adam said not a problem. At some point I'll find my way to a 4 wheel dyno to see how close we got. My reasoning for the auto octane was the inconsistency of 92-93...

    sunroof Leak issue?

Search this forum "sun roof leak" there are several examples of this problem. Mostly with 2020 and 2021. After a while in your rainy season it's a good idea to check your spare tire well for water or evidence of moisture. While you're at it check the air pressure in the spare. When I needed...

    Lethal Spring

I've had Steeda springs and rear sway bar on for 3 years now. Still satisfied. Enjoy taking it out on the Blueridge around Boone and Blowing Rock. I like the handling but have nothing to compare to other than stock. Give the Lethals some time to settle, recheck the alignment, and if the...

CAMBER FROM LOWERING SPRINGS / DOWNSHIFT SURGING

Unsolicited suggestion, but I'd wait another month to be sure you're springs have fully settled. When mine were first installed they fell within specs, after time and miles, tire wear told a different story.
