    Stock CAI

    What's LOL?

    Stock CAI

Down pipes have been known to show 20-25HP gains. The stock cat back is good for 700HP. As far as been posted, you will run out of stock turbos before you run out of stock CAI flow. With an S&B CAI and cold pipe, you won't feel it with a butt dyno. An upgraded CAI and DPs are highly recommended...

    Explorer ST Modding 101 Guide

Ok, cool. I suspected that meth inj might be an issue, especially with remote tuning like ZFG and the like. Thanks for confirming. I believe at one point Adam was sniffing the port injection but seemed to be shying away from it. What's currently in your guide seems to be the go to, especially...

    Explorer ST Modding 101 Guide

Yes, here's a link to the CRP actuators: https://crpengineering.com/product/3-030-521/ Just to be clear, I wasn't refuting your performance point on the CAI. I'm just saying that CRP recommends it as a must for the Stage 5 turbos because they won't last with the stock intake. It's not imminent...

    Explorer ST Modding 101 Guide

Thanks for your efforts on this posting. Definitely went to school on the brake choices. Just a little observation concerning what dealers can see with mods. IMHO, they wouldn't be able to distinguish CRP turbo upgrades because they are OEM housings. I doubt many of the techs I've run into...

    Trans Temp Gauge

So, I can use any OBD2 adapter with BT and get Car Scanner Pro to connect? I can also connect CSP to Android Auto to have it show up on the Sync display? Not familiar with AA so just guessing. Thanks.

    Trans. dip stick

Thinking about this and thought one of those aftermarket companies could design a curved fill tube that screws into the nut threadings that hold the dipstick in. Instead of the dipstick, a sensor that would show fluid level at the proper fluid temp would be great.

    Trans Temp Gauge

Ended up getting this. Does everything including all data display coming from the ECU and transmission computer. Of course, DTC, explanation of codes, remedies etc. It auto detects VIN so it is model specific for exact features and sensors. A good deal + for 103 out the door. I now have real...

Does your P3 gauge show trans fluid temp?

Did the same last year and I think they stand out nicely with this color scheme. Matches the "ST", the tail lights and the calipers.

    Tire recommendation

The Pirelli Sport Weatheractives ratings seem to trump most I've seen and would be my next consideration. I trust the Tire Rack ratings because they track test right there on their grounds plus consumer ratings. In all the categories, they're rated excellent and they're cheaper than the Pilots...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Replaced a leaking trans cooler today. Turned a quoted $800 cost down to $255. It was installed by a guy who charged me only $127 labor when everyone else wanted $500. Ford stealership wanted $305 for the part but got it at Miracle Ford Parts for $128. Don't know how they figure on charging $500...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Yes, I'm speaking of the one that goes onto the charge end of the turbo itself. I'm assuming that's the 57-65mm. It's a short elbow hose on the right/passenger side turbo.
