    Stock CAI

Right? Actually, not planning any more mods. This is as far as I'm taking it. Still want to take preventative measure as funds permit. Also, I have to consider down time and travel being that they're located in Fla. This is the daily driver and the only other option is to find a used/recycled 60...

    Stock CAI

Haven't gotten any quotes on a swap, just happened to see that one of the techs at EMS is working on one. I'll have to check out RSA. Hadn't heard of them yet.

    Stock CAI

Thanks for the reply! I concur with your assessment with the stock turbo scenario. At this point I'm not equipped to upgrade the tranny. I had looked into either a Level 42 build or a 10R80 swap. Just not in the play kitty yet. :)

    Stock CAI

Is the stock CAI that restrictive? I was looking at the S&B but needed to justify the cost/advantage. At this point, visually the DPs are the only mod giveaway. Maybe the OEM's not so much restrictive in stock form but with the mods I have made, maybe a good idea? Thanks for your thoughts...

    Strut Brace

Thanks for the hits! It'll be off next opportunity. On another note, is the stock CAI that restrictive? I was looking at the S&B but needed to justify the cost/advantage. Maybe not so much in stock form but with the mods I have made, maybe a good idea? 93DMS Tune CVFab IC CVFab DPs CRP Stage 5...

    Strut Brace

Hi All, If someone can completely convince me that the strut brace on this ST is merely for looks and has no contributing stabilization, I'm going to remove it. It's just a major hindrance whenever I need to perform any engine work. From what I've read here on the forum, even a stiffer...

    Towing

Not understanding the instructions for "Temporary Neutral Mode". It's telling you to switch the vehicle on, press and hold the brake and then shift into neutral. The problem is, you can't shift into neutral without the engine running unless you use the previous procedure. I also don't know how...

    Towing

If your engine is not running, you have to follow this procedure: Open the console glove compartment, clear all the stuff out, lift the felt pad out and you'll see a small hatch. (about 4" long and 1" wide) There's a small slot you can stick a small screwdriver into to open the hatch. Inside...

    Towing

Thanks for the hits peeps! It turns out the tow guy is an ex Ford tech and knew the vehicle. On another note, this ST won't go into neutral without a certain procedure when the engine is not running. The rotary shifter won't budge, even in accessory mode unless that procedure is performed.

    Towing

Hi All, It appears my starter has given up and I have to get towed to a repair shop. Are there any specifics the tow person should know before moving this ST? Do they have to drop the drive shaft or any other mechanical disengagements? How do you put it in neutral without the engine started?

    Won't Start (Problem Solved)

Thanks, will do that! Good to know and I'll see if I can put myself in position to pull this starter motor and disassemble it.

    Won't Start (Problem Solved)

Just turned 71k miles. Has anyone had starter motor problems with their ST within that mile range? What were your symptoms?

    Won't Start (Problem Solved)

Ok, so here's another update! Yesterday when I found that the problem was the starter motor fuse, I jumped the fuse contacts with a wire to see if it would start. It did, so I waited till today to get the proper fuse. Figured I'd jump the contacts again and it didn't start. I raised the hood in...

    Won't Start (Problem Solved)

Thanks. Yes, I'm glad it was an easy fix although it took a while to find. A cost effective one too. I had all kinds of things going through my head. A new starter would have been close to 500 installed.

    Won't Start (Problem Solved)

In case anyone has this issue, there's been a few different fixes for this conundrum. It's a problem that's been reported in many instances where the ST all of the sudden won't start. In all the reports of those taking it in to the dealership, Ford didn't have a clue on how to resolve it. In...

    Won't Start (Problem Solved)

Hi All, Checking in to see if anybody knows of any no-start issues with the ST. Everything lights up, battery shows 12.3v. Still tried to jump it but nothing. All I can think of is a dead starter but other than that, looking for your thoughts on anything I might have missed. No previous problems...
