    Spring Compressor

I wouldn't recommend those. get the two piece kind. They can be rented but are so cheap nowadays it is better to just buy a ser for convenience. Many have plastic storage cases too. OEMTOOLS 27036 10.75 Inch MacPherson Strut Spring Compressor, Set of 2 Universal Spring Compressor Tool...

    Transmission Oils, first timer

I used factory specified oil, mostly from Rockauto or Amazon. The rear diff fill bolt has limited clearance--You will need a low profile 3/8" socket driver or lever. The front diff fill bolt is tight...I needed a breaker bar. Refer to the online service manual. Pretty straight forward.

Part ID Help - Plastic Cover Engine Bay

Wow. I wonder how much else was removed thatwe don't even know about. I noticed that sometime MY2022 that the firewall insulation is gone. Gotta believe that's going to make it noisier in the cabin.

    Leaking oil?

Finger's crossed. I recommend you source some Motorcraft 75W-140 Synthetic Rear Axle Lubricant to top off the front differential (holds 0.6 qt).

Interesting new find…and not a good one.

The OEM part does not have those bushings sandwiched between there. Neither does the steeda part. they both have a bushing around a beefy steel collar which is what gets sandwiched. The Fen Fab design simply wont do for our particular application. You might replace the bushings with same...

    Stock Muffler Construction?

Gotta say, I ditched my Gibson axleback. I could not figure out the higher pitched hum/drone i was getting at 2-2.3k rpm. I couldn't in good conscience resell it if there was a defect in the mufflers so I trashed them. Also, not happy with how rusted out they looked after less than a year...

    Recall Rear Bolt Fracture?

Wow. Talk about hot off the presses! Fingers crossed for a proper fix this time.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Are you under warranty? If so, you probably can let the dealer do it (unless they want to do something radical like swap axles or reshedule the fix for another visit). I did it myself: a simple job, like the video says, only the rears...about 30 minutes. In a nutshell, take off the wheels...

    No alternator output at idle?

Do you have another source of voltage reading like your radar detector? Also, you running the original battery? For a MY2020, I would think you'd need a new one. I think the Livernois is meant to display all the time so what you are experiencing is a little odd. I also think it's odd that it...

    Leaking oil?

Ford Boss has 2 or 3 videos discussing the problem. An O-ring is the problem. Last I heard, the replacement actuators he put in are leaking after a time too! Sounds like this is going tobe a widespread problem. How you fix it depends on your warranty status. It is a b$"#*% to remove...

    CV Boots

Yes, Powertrain specifically mentions axles if I'm not mistaken. What is my Powertrain warranty "axle shafts"

Concerned Owner of 50k miles 2020ST. Need help!

If your oil pan is cracked, there you go. If it's not, the front axle hub actuator leak will drip down and cover the oil pan as well. You (or your mechanic) needs to look at the driver's side after the rectangular undershield is removed. Here's one thread...

    New SYNC Update 23188

No, you can use it. You do not want to do the reformat procedure or you will brick your APIM. Simple upgrades or downgrades of SYNC versions is fine. Map upgrades are a hard NO. Sync3Updater has a new tool to clear RWDATA that is plaguing 22251 and interfering with version upgrades. You can...

    Map Update

Your free map update period has ended. This is likely for most MY2020's

    VIN not part of TSB

It would help if you specify what the TSB is for. A TSB is not a recall. If it doesn't address a problem, the dealer is under no obligation to do it.

    Replacing Brakes

Use Forscan and see what codes come up. You can also clear them with Forscan.

    Replacing Brakes

Don't know about other methods but Forscan has service procedures for the brakes to work on them.

    New SYNC Update 23188

Well, it's not the usb. VER_ERR08 is what people who had full RWDATA got when they tried to upgrade or downgrade versions (before 23188 was officially released). It almost sounds like the "clear RWDATA" script isn't running. You might want to try Cyanlabs and use their Sync3Updater to create...

    New SYNC Update 23188

The 23188 update USB has a script to clear RWDATA if it is full. You sure the update USB is version 23188? You really shouldn't be running into VER_ERR08
