Concerned Owner of 50k miles 2020ST. Need help!

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about the flex pipes because you are better off replacing those yourself with aftermarket midpipes if you are planning to keep the car long term. The other issues are somewhat common and once fixed should be fixed for good. I have many of those issues and don't have...

    ST Cleaning Product Tips

Does anyone know what will remove rubbing compound residue from the black trim? I've tried. Can't get it out. Used trim cleaner and thought it worked but ended up just covering up and after a time, it shows through.

    Possible tune

Do a Draggy run or drag strip run would be the easiest way.

    Spark Plug Change

Yeah, easily DIY although a pain. Always good to have swivels and extensions of different lengths. Just use the money you save to add to your tool chest.

    Wi-Fi weak problem.

Make sure you have the latest Sync 23188 and not 22251 that has issues. If I were to guess, there probably is no external antenna--few devices nowadays have one except wifi routers. And if I were to guess again, I would bet the wifi is built into the APIM itself. Based on that, try a master...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Greased the rear axle splines--no more metallic "tink" sound!

Hit a pole, not sure what to do.

If it were me, I'd honestly remove the wheel arch trim and try to get the sheet metal back to original position. With some bondo and touchup paint, it may not be too bad. This from someone who has over 4 years, 75k miles on his Explorer and has had some scuffs here or there... I don't expect...

    New and buying bolt ons

What do the back and knees have to do with lowering springs? Doesn't bother my back or knees! Also rear sway bar and subframe bushing support kit. Also, who exactly is in charge here?

Winter wheels and tires - and do I have Street Pack?

As long as you do a search on Tirerack with Explorer ST with street pack, they will guarantee fitment.

    New SYNC Update 23188

It's not a temporary fix. Just install it! If you still have issues, make sure you master reset after installing 23188 (which I do after any Sync update anyways).

    Drivetrain Fluids Change

Just a heads up on the rear differential drain and fill. There is very limited clearance to access to the fill plug (3/8" square hole). Conventional 3/8" socket rachets will not fit! My 3/8" breaker bar would not fit. I was lucky I had a mini pivoting rachet and barely got it to work. Going...

    New SYNC Update 23188

You need to upload that XML file to Ford. Go back to the Ford owners site and look at the instructions for installing the Sync update via USB. At the end, there is a link to upload that file. When you click the link, it will open your computer's directory and you just point to that file and...
