Question on Unique Engine Auto Start Stop

I don’t think Forscan could completely disable the fact that it doesn’t show up on the cluster that it is turned off or no light on the button.

Question on Unique Engine Auto Start Stop

...but didn’t find it. And the fact that the light doesn’t stay on the button to turn off (I saw it just holds the memory and stays on). Other thought was someone using a tool like Forscan? But not sure how the car reacts when that is used and if it’s something I can find out without buying that...

Welcome to the Explorer ST Forum, please post an introduction

...as we often have 7 folks to ferry around. I think the ST is an ultimate sleeper vehicle, looks like a soccer mom SUV but with 400HP and all sorts of tech inside. Considering a Borla exhaust, oil catch can, etc. and hoping to find someone in the Ft. Worth area who can do some Forscan work for me.

    Trans Temp Gauge

I was actually looking for this set up but can't find the thread that had a link to the OBD adapter to use with the app. I think it was this one,OBDLink MX+. I know it works with FORScan but do you know if it will work with the Car Scanner app?

    wheel options for winter tires

Yep just saying it’s not that big of a deal if you aren’t able to do it but I would do it.

    wheel options for winter tires

Thanks for the quick response. Can't the speedometer be adjusted using Forscan?

What programming-related things are most helpful to the community?

...slightly mechanical but far more logical/electrical brained. So far, my thoughts are to either learn more about CAN BUS, maybe understand why Forscan exists (that is, specialize in on a particular make...), sync programming, or something else. I also realize I may not even be using some of...

    Audio System Overhaul

Brutal. Something strange going on for sure. Does the screen stay on now when the audio stops? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Audio System Overhaul

...Unfortunately he didn't write down the codes first. But after clearing the DTC's he plugged the factory amp in and it played for a little while then stopped. I told him to just leave it as is and that I'd be over with my laptop. I'll see what I can find out with FORScan and post the results.

Capable scan tool other than Forscan

I placed my 23ST into brake service mode using Forsan and could not return to normal mode using Forscan, the Above procedure will not work with newer Explorers, the procedure below worked. This happened about 6 months ago, hopefully Forscan has been upgraded.

Capable scan tool other than Forscan

I found that Forscan is not reliable for maintenance mode activation. I had multiple attempts before it finally worked. Better to do it with the method Dale posted?

Capable scan tool other than Forscan

Looking for a scan tool that's capable of entering/exiting brake maintenance mode other than forscan? Don't need the best snap-on deal but something can handle it. I'm not exactly computer savvy so looking for an alternative method. Thanks in advance!

    Audio System Overhaul

When I wasn’t getting power at the nav/amp it was because #127 was blown. They are the tiny fuses. I seriously think it is just a fuse.

    Audio System Overhaul

I checked and #115 and #127 are for the amplifier and are located in the engine bay. The ACM fuse is #32 and is located inside the vehicle. He said he checked them but would check again. I should be able to check the ACM with FORScan right?

    Error Messages

All you need is a dongle ($30) and the free Forscan and it’ll pull up all the codes.
