If you want to disable the foot activation feature all you have to do is go into settings on your screen and you can deactivate it there you don’t have to pull wires off.

When my battery goes bad I’m going to replace it with a Optima Yellow Top. my other two vehicles both have Optima Yellow Top batteries they are good quality batteries.

I haven’t had any problems with my tailgate however be careful when you pull in the garage if your tailgate is opening on its own it may open into the garage door and scratch the back of your vehicle. I have read many post that have had that problem.
