Was considering ordering a 2025 which would be my third ST. Disappointed the sunroof and roof rails are standard now. I want neither. The new grille is a design downgrade as well.

I would say most I've seen were stock, and some of those failed again soon after a bolt replacement. I even saw a 2.3 XLT break a bolt this past month in one of the Ford groups on FB. That was a first.

Was not familiar with that term...reading up on it that does around like what's happening.

My 2020 never did this and my 2021 just started recently after a year and a half of driving. It's not a smooth/enjoyable blip either like you'd have with a Porsche or Ferrari...it's kinda rough. Wondering if the software started implementing it due to a transmission condition or driving habit.

I have a 2021 ST with 26k miles on it. Recently it's started doing a throttle blip when shifting gears. I've only noticed this in Sport mode and it's more prominent when I'm using paddle shifters. Has anyone else experienced this or know if it was perhaps part of a software update?

That still begs the question...why did Ford engineers specify the new ST release to have a 4-bolt subframe while lesser-powered models had a 3-bolt configuration? Also why was the rear subframe changed for later models? That change started in the middle of Covid, with factory slowdowns, labor...

Agree. The good news is if the case is won it will cover anyone who purchased an affected ST.

This is a cliche belief that's not based in reality. Yes, in many class action cases the lawyers pocket millions while the plaintiffs (who are often benefactors who didn't lift a finger to bring any action) receive a pittance. Not all class actions have these results...I'm sure you've heard of...

I noticed that a few people had done that and I don't blame them. I do hope this gives them some help.

If this case gets settled, anyone with an affected ST will benefit, whether they signed on or not.

Capstone Law is in the process of filing a class-action suit against Ford concerning the rear subframe/bolt issue. I spoke with them last week and they are now accepting class representatives who have purchased affected Explorers, especially in California. If you are interested in signing on to...

I've seen at least 7-8 in the FB groups; dealer says they've fixed a few.

There are at least a few guys already planning to do this...or so they've indicated.
