    Coilovers anyone ?

I think it was @pelotonracer2 that said he had bottomed out into the bump stops a few times on the H&R's in his post comparing the H&R's to the Steeda's... It might have been somebody else though. Im just not sure I want to lower 1.5-1.75" on the H&R's then load up the boat and be sitting on...

    Coilovers anyone ?

Ive got a set of H&R springs sitting in my garage that I dont think I am going to install. I dont think im sold on the Steeda's either. Until a strut is released that can deal with the 1.25-1.75" of lowering and not lose travel/hit the bump stops, I think I am going to leave my factory...

    Coilovers anyone ?

I would be down for some FOX coilovers... something in the 2.5" diameter(the Raptor Fox coilovers are 3"), remote reservoir with adjustable rebound and damping setup with travel designed for a drop of about 1.5". Would likely be in the 2000-2500 range, maybe 3000.

ZFG 93 tune and vehicle inspection

Not sure how Colorado works, but you most likely just need to make sure readiness monitors are set. Takes a few drive cycles to reset after flashing, battery disconnect, etc... you can usually read them with a code scanner. I have an OBD-MX bluetooth scanner and use their free phone...

ZFG 93 tune and vehicle inspection

In Texas... Not a chance you will have issues. As long as all your readiness monitors are set you will pass... I think you can actually have 1 or 2 that arent set and still pass.

    Lowering Springs Pros and Cons

I have no clue what is going to come out for this ST as far as coilovers go but I am not holding my breath that they will be worth a shit. Just my experience with people making low volume coilovers(lets be honest, coilovers for the Explorer will be low volume). My guess is somebody is adapting...

    Lowering Springs Pros and Cons

Yes, south of dallas about 30 miles... but not an issue to drive wherever to meet up. Would have to arrange later in the month since I am going on vacation this week for like 2 weeks. And yea, losing 1.7" of travel is substantial. Doesnt need stiffer shock valving, needs shorter struts...

    Lowering Springs Pros and Cons

It sounds like the Steeda spring rate is higher than the H&R spring rate. Anybody know the actual rates? I dont think I have seen them posted anywhere. I was hoping the H&R's were a higher rate than factory, but it sounds like maybe they arent... Maybe I need to try to meet up with...

    Lowering Springs Pros and Cons

Anybody towed with either the H&R's or Steeda's? Wife and I are looking at boats 4-4500lbs on the trailer. Ive got some H&R's in the box, but not sure on installing them due to thinking on trailering loads.

    Vehicle Insurance

GENERALLY a policy will cover like $2500 of aftermarket stuff included... So if you have more, you need to talk to your agent. Its usually very minimal cost. I think I had 15k in aftermarket coverage on a built up Subaru I had years ago and it was like 40 bucks a year added on to my policy...

    Multi-Contour Seats

So basically the shiatsu massage function is "multi contour"? Or is the physical seat different? Ill be honest I ONLY looked at ST's with the premium tech package so I probably never even looked at one with the "regular" seats...

    Multi-Contour Seats

Are the non-multi contour still heated and cooled? Do they just not have the shiatsu massaging? I use the heat and cool function but RARELY the shiatsu... HOWEVER the premium tech package simply for the big screen is a MUST IMO so...

    Bird droppings on paint

I generally wont spray super clean on paint unless its cut at least 2:1, some people will say 3:1. Ive sprayed it at full strength on lower rocker panels to get road tar and stuff off. There is one pro-detailer who has a youtube channel that uses it 3:1 on the entire car prior to washing it...

    Bird droppings on paint

That wont take contaminates out of the paint IMO. Now obviously we dont have a picture or anything else to go by, but a machine isnt IMO the way to go based on his description. NOW if the bird shit etched the paint, yea, a machine is the right call, but in this case, the first step is to...

SYNC Build 21194 Is Released by Ford

Ive been on it for a few weeks off the cyanlabs updater. Works well, lasts long time.... Fixed the traffic issue MOSTLY. I still see some roads that should have traffic data on them, but dont...

ZFG: I guess I'm a fanboy now too

if you notice any weird shifts you can tell him and he might have you datalog them. He had me datalog a few 1-4 pulls because my trans did some weird stuff on a 3rd gear pull. It also was short shifting 2-3 shift and that shift was excessively hard. I havent noticed anything in the higher...

    Ford Co-pilot 360 thread

What he said. I can never remember the difference. I guess I have mine set on Adaptive and 1 bar follow distance... unless I am using stop and go in traffic, then 2 bars as 1 bar in stop and go freaks me out a bit.

aFe Intake -vs- Whipple Intercooler -vs- Downpipe

I would wait on the AFE CAI until people get them in their hands, do a little tuning with them and get some REAL results... because manufacturer claims on CAI's generally never seem to hold up in any vehicle I have ever owned. With that said the Whipple's have proven themselves to be...
